From when did JL3 become a pass-first PG?

Players to be cut: Sura, Reed, JLIII, Novak, Landry. In this case, Synder, Mike Harris and Jackie Butler can stay.

Hmm, do you know why they gave Jabba his name in Star Wars. It's a real word in Russian, if you can find out then you will know why I call you that.

I pretty much know who the starters going to be...it's going to be Yao Scola Battier Tmac and Rafer.

Now you can start Bonzi over Battier but that doesn't make sense since Battier is just a better shooter and when Yao and Tmac is in the lineup, you got to have people making them pay for double team. Plus Battier is a relentless defender and hustler. Although I like Bonzi athleticism and relentless attacking the basket....Battier just a better fit w/ Yao and Tmac.

Ok now Scola....you got another relentless high energy player...high basketball IQ and can knock down shot for doubling Yao as well...can easily finish close the hoop and can post up too.....so even though his rebounding might not be there in the beginning....his overall talents is just too much for him to come off the bench...there is no way. It's like the Spurs with Ginobili....because of his relentless and competitiveness nature..the Spurs eventually had to start him. With Scola and Battier...you got TWO high energy player with off the roof basketball IQ....that is going to get you a lot of wins.

Now Rafer...why Rafer?? Well simply because he fits (YES FITS) better in the Adelman's system than any PG in the Rockets' roster. He is the pure PG that the ROX need and his ball handling skill is highly needed for this type of offense...the Rockets need a QB to engineer the offense...and i don't think Steve or Mike James can do that consistently...they're not pure PG. Steve has a better chance though. But in terms of shooting, Steve is a better at off the dribble shot than spot up shooting. Rafer is the opposite..he's a better spot up shooter than off the dribble shot...which complement Yao and Tmac better.

So coming off the bench will be Steve, Mike James, Bonzi, Hayes, and whoever.

I like this. I really do not understand why they went to so much trouble to sign Landry - unless he will be part of trade fodder

Maybe they wanted him to go overseas but he relented so they're just giving him the opportunity to make the team if he can.

Even if the Rockets hadn't offered him a token contract it would not have mattered re: getting under LT. Also cutting Harris and/or Landry won't help them achieve that goal even after waiving Sura and JLIII.

To get under they need to salary dump either Reed, Snyder, or Butler.

This guy should be ripped a new one for this comment. You gotta be kidding me, dude. Seriously, tell us you are kidding so you don't lose every last ounce of credibility in this forum and as a human being.

I sure hope he just forgot the /sarcasm at the end. Not even the biggest V-Span supporter thinks he should get a MAX contract. Also, the fact that he says we should get rid of T-Mac and Yao tell me that this was just a horribly failed "joke". Or at least I hope it is. Nobody can be that stupid.

 Hey guys im back on board (use to be a member but the computer crashed a long time ago  and just not got a new one) Some of the cuts are simple Lucas III and Reed. That gets you dont to 17 now its a little bit harder. IMO i say Landry and Novac. (Buttler is here for next year after Mutombo walks away) That makes 15 guys. Of the 15 I say Brooks, Buttler and Synder start the year on th IR list. I never been a Alston hater but i was never a real fan either but, i think he makes the rotation and is the starting PG. If he doesn't start then he is out of the rotation. IMO coach is going with this 3 headed monster with James and Francis coming off the bench. Also i think Hayes will be in the rotation at the start of the season then slowly he will be more at the end of the bench.

    C Yao/Mutombo/Buttler
    PF Scola/Hayes
    SF Battier/Wells/Harris/Snyder
    SG T-Mac/James/Head
    PG Alston/ Francis/Brooks

Four players that will be cut are:

    1. Bob Sura
    2. John Lucas III
    3. Justin Reed
    4. Laudry goes to NBDL

Harris, Synder and Novak stays with the team in that scenerio.

bro, the fact that my comment is so insane should intimate that i was kidding. i shouldn't have to tell you...

as far as credibility goes, you should pick a new name; what the hell has Scottie Brooks done for the rockets lately? He is SO 1993. get with the program buddy.

When Adelman put the subs in...it's not like he's going to take the entire starters out and rest them...most of them still stay a bit such as Scola and Battier and Tmac...before the quarter end. So expect Yao to get a brief rest and back in the game again like JVG did to play along with Hayes, Francis and James or Alston.

    Justin Reed $1,573,000 Guaranteed!
    Kirk Snyder $2,358,432 Guaranteed!
    Jackie Butler $2,376,000 Guaranteed

Players with guaranteed contracts aren’t likely to get cut!

    Staying

    Jackie Butler...Future Backup for Yao
Landry…. Rockets spent Money + Future 2nd Rounder... he’s staying!

    Gone

    *Sura
    *JL3
    *Harris
    *Novak
*Reed or Snyder via trade for 2nd Pick or cash

If Rockets can trade both Kirk Snyder and Reed then that is the only think that can save Mike Harris’s hid. Sorry Just the Facts!!

Hopefully he makes the squad next year!
