Mark my words, Butler will make the roster, and he will provide some solid minutes in relief of Yao/Deke, and he will be cemented as the #2 next year, after Deke retires.
Nah. Cato actually showed some good shotblocking and rebounding when he was given minutes. Butler averaged 0 blocks per game last year, .6 the previous year and 0 his first year. It's an insult to Cato to be compared to Butler. The only solution is to have Deke come back another year...I don't think Deke can tear himself away....he loves the game too much. If Deke retires, then the Rockets will go elsewhere to find a backup that averages better than 0 blocks.
sorry but you are mistaken Against NOLA, he came in for Yao and promptly had to guard Chandler in the post....and held his own. He knows how to use his body and positioning to force a postup player out of where he wants to be. I would be inclined to think Adelman intends to use Scola at the 5 more often than Chuck, especially so when he goes smaller with the second unit.
All i can say about J. Butler is that he will be making his exit with this load up Houston Rockets team. Bye Jackie!
It's a mystery to me. Jackie Butter actually looked semi-competent with Larry Brown. But once he got the relatively modest $3 million per year contract, Jackie Butter has been crap.
i rather have landry make the team than butler. a team liek the bobcats, may want him, and overpay for him. like a future 1st and a TE?
