Yaaaay!!!!!!!!! Kagy starts a "Best" thread of his own!

Anyway, my votes go to Busch first, and Lone Star second. I am halfway hammered on Busch now so perhaps this is not really a fair ranking. Lone Star's been veddy veddy gud to me too.

Worst, I vote for Falstaff. I'd rather drink plutonium than that ****.

Lone Star is by far the best deal. Long necks if possible, but the 12 paks are definately cheaper!:)

btw:anything "lite" I won't drink...well unless its free, but I really wouldn't any other time!

I know when a bunch of us would go to the river, we'd always buy tons of Olympia Gold Light. It was the cheapest we could find, and we drank buttloads of it.

Fratty Light is truly the worst, or maybe I'm just cringing at the thought of what I was wearing while drinking it a few years back (maybe it was the haircut).

High Life, Old Style, and Reddog (30 cans for ten bucks) are what I can handle these days.

What was that beer from Louisiana? The one with the castle or something (swamp?) on the label?

That definitely had to be one of the worst beers ever....

The best cheap import is a Heineken wanna be, called Bavaria. I've seen it as low as $3.99 a six.

    http://www.bavaria.nl/

obviously from their website, they are kinda like the Miller of Europe. Cheap beer in several flavors.

    chug,

    That stuff is pretty nasty.

Man, I've tried alot of bad beers. About 5 years ago I lived in Milwaukee and knew this girl that worked for Miller in Space Management doing the beer setups at grocery stores and such. Anyway, she had to purchase other beer products for some reason and ended up giving me grocery bags full of odd ball beers. One was in a gold can with only the words "Grain Belt" on the side. It was pretty gross, but this one in a big bottle called "Holiday Cheer" wins hands down. It was dark like Guiness, but tasted like a 50 year old radial tire(if I knew what one tasted like)!

My favorite cheapies were always Busch and Keystone.

Natural Light should be outlawed its so bad.

Olympia is pretty foul, but the worst experience I ever had was back in college: We needed beer, and all we had was two 6-packs of Pearl in a can that had been sitting in my friends trunk for about 4 days in the west Texas heat. Pearl in a can is bad enough, but when its 100* Pearl in a can....ugh.

In the spirit of actually answering the question, my favorite cheap beer of ALL TIME is the one and only, you know it, you love it:

Yeah. "It's the water." OGL is significantly better than regular Olympia.

Yeah. "It's the water." OGL is significantly better than regular Olympia.

Lone Star Bock is usually cheaper than comparable brew (like Shiner). Honey Brown is also pretty cheap in that same vein.

Mickey Big Mouths!!! Even cheaper. They rock.

Staropramen (good Czech beer). John Smith (Smooth).

Good beer: Sam Smith's. Try and of them and you should be good to go. Avoid the oatmeal stout unless you really like that kind of heavy brew. The IPA, Nutbrown Ale, Pale Ale, and Lager are all great.

Most overrated beer: Sam Adam's, Grolsch, Rolling Rock, Heineken.

Best beer you can get consistently in a honky tonk or a swanky place: Bud.

Abita from Lousiana is good. Sierra Nevada rocks (and I think its the #1 selling 'microbrew' in the US). Rogue from Oregon (including the superb Dead Guy Ale) is very good. Anchor Steam, Liberty. El Presidente or Celis White in a tall glass with a shot of Finlandia Cranberry Vodka on a hot day!

Best: I aqree with MC Mark, Meister Breu ain't bad for what it costs. Coors Light gets honorable mention, since it's about impossible to taste anyway.

    Worst: Beer.

yes, I'm serious. One day my roommate and I were almost completely broke, went down to the liquor store, and bought a 12-pak of BEER. Big blue letters on a white/silver back-ground.

Is Texas Pride still sold down there? Worst beer I've ever tasted.
