Testaverde is a sitting duck in the pocket. I hope they have a good offensive line cause their going to need it with him back there. He can't move for squat.
I remember at least 1 bomb to Corey Bradford that hit him right in the hands. The hands were a bad place to hit Corey Bradford.
Who was the reciever that droped the sure touchdown against the girls in the opener? I think he was with the Ravens before that. And did Bledsoe cost to much for the Panther's to sign? He seems like a better choice.
LOL. Speaking of Carr...he does have an accurate and powerful arm. If only the line could hold up for 8 seconds while he goes through his first couple reads...
Carr misses practice again; Panthers could start Testaverde Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Carolina Panthers quarterback David Carr missed practice again Thursday, leaving head coach John Fox with a decision to make regarding who will start Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The Panthers signed 43-year old veteran Vinny Testaverde Wednesday with Carr's status in question because of a back injury, and opening week starter Jake Delhomme sidelined for the season after undergoing elbow surgery. During Thursday's press conference, Fox would not say whether Testaverde, who has had only two days to practice with the team, would start against the Cardinals, but if Carr does not practice Friday, he may have no choice. "I was hopeful (Carr) would (practice) today," Fox said. "But he didn't, so we'll see how it goes tomorrow. I think anytime you bring in somebody new that hasn't been with you at camp or offseason workouts, things you do football- wise, it's tough. But with Vinny he's got some familiarity with the system we run. "Like all of the decisions we make, you do it with the idea you're making the right decision," Fox added. "Like most decisions, time tells. The reason (Testaverde's) here is because we thought he gave us the best option." Carr was injured during Carolina's 16-13 win over the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, and was replaced by third-stringer Matt Moore, who completed one pass to Keary Colbert for 43 yards. The Panthers, who sit in a tie with Tampa Bay at 3-2 atop the NFC South, were also without the services of running back Nick Goings (concussion) and linebacker Dan Morgan (ankle) during Thursday's practice. 10/11 16:35:00 ET http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c=sportsnetwork&page=nfl/news/abn4107243.htm
I do this every week since Carr became the starter. But AZ is already taken. I also try to pick up whichever WR Faggins will be covering.
The Carr strategy is an excellent idea. I don't know which one would be worse though, Vinny T or Carr. Tough choice.

Vinny is a workout warrior and keeps himself in great shape. I'm not shocked by what happened today. He can't do it over a full season, but for 2 or 3 games he can help the Panthers. It's too bad they are stuck with Carr as QB or they could salvage their season.
