Butler is staying - in my opinion. gotta' have another big man and he is going to be pretty valuable if Yao or Deke goes down for any amount of time. I agree with the rest.
Jeff, with Novak and JL3 should be gone for their play over the past year, including off seasons. If Novak can't hit 75% from 3 he is too much of a liability on the rest of the court. Lucas is not better than Brooks. I just don't see a reason for keeping either one of them.
I think we should solidify our SG position..we can rid Novak,Snyder, Head,JL3,Sura,etc.. for the unsigned Pavlovic..I think he can cut,slash and hit the 3..maybe he can be Adelman's Peja for the Rox..Tat could also pave the way for them to sign Varejao..watcha think guys? With Rafer, I'm still waitin for Brooks to play before concluding..hopefully in the next few days
You are making this assessment from 1 preseason game in which Landry didn't even play in? Not too smart are you?
I was just glad to be able to see what some of the new guys could do, a hint at how different Adelman's system will be, and the kind of shape these guys are in. You can't get a whole hell of a lot more out of the first preseason game. Having said that, a couple of impressions... I hope Snyder didn't get hurt bad enough to affect possibly moving him in a deal, because he has some serious competition from Harris. Scola looked to be everything I hoped he'd be, and a legit candidate for rookie of the year. Can play the 5 spot more than we might have expected, IMO. Huge impact on the Rocks this season. Spers management may slit their collective throats for moving him to us for chump change. Incredibly stupid on their part. Bonzi is in great shape, which is another huge plus. Francis still has a lot of athleticism, from the little I saw of the guy. Can still sky, unless that was a "one hit wonder." Harris has a decent shot at making the team. Head and Alston looked pretty good, and might be in a deal, if a deal is made. Too many players! Gotta do something about it. A two or three for one, if we can figure out a move that would help the team. Adelman's system is going to make this a fun season to watch. On to the the next preseason game. Greek food on the plate!
Sura, JL3, reed. 1 is retired and the other 2 are just not needed as there are already 4 players ahead of them, Alston,james,francis,AB for JL3, while Scola,hayes,harris,landry/novak for reed. Another player that i could see getting cut due to having better players in front of him is synder. So the last player to get cut will be a big man who perform the least during training camp and preseason games. Butler,harris,landry,novak. Heck even Deke could get cut just for the reason of him being so old. As yao,scola and hayes is going to play all the 96 mins provided by the C and PF position. I could see deke getting cut to make way for "potentials". Lock players are Yao, Tmac, Battier, Bonzi, James, Scola, Hayes, SF3 and AB. others are possible players getting trade out.

I hate to see Synder go. The guy works his tail off to just get a chance. But his skill set I think doesnt fit well in Adelman's system. He was pretty much a defense specialist in JVG's system, and he needs to improve his offense skills and bball IQ in order to stay in Adelman's system. A tall order for him. I see him get traded for 2nd rounders and cash.
Nah. Just a sense. Seems like everything we hear has been about Harris since Adelman entered the equation. I didn't take that from the game. Come on now. You should assume better when a member from 99 posts...
