well, that was kind of acceptable b4 b/c he had sucky teammates. now he doesn't but it seems like when the ball is in tmac's hands, everybody just falls in love w/ his greatness and be fans. we can't let that happen. don't be intimidated by him, play with him.

if u notice, yao started the game as the facilitator in the high post and looked to pass. that got others involved but also got him WIDE OPEN baskets b/c of all the movement.

the end of the first and start of the 2nd quarter, he stayed in the post primarily as the last 5 shots he took were from post-ups.

he'll mix it up. but it seemed like he scored all his pts when he didn't stay in the post. ironic isn't it?

why are yall complaining about t-mac's iso play? it was just ONE play, and he made the shot. i for one was very pleased to see t-mac still had the ability to rise up and shoot over his defender. dont get your panties in a bunch. it was one play. be thankful your not a lakers fan and you have to watch that every single play of the season.

no, when yao went out, they ran 4-5 consecutive iso plays for tmac at the high post. and NOBODY moved for the first 4 times. then finally bonzi cut.

and yes, it seems like a slimmer tmac is a higher elevating tmac :D . just needs to get a rhythm. his fts still suck.

JOPATMC Scola had 7 rebounds and for his first game in the NBA did rather well in my opinion and I for one look forward to his contributions to the team effort.I think he has the making of a decent NBA player! :p

if he's the point guard that the rockets need to get to the next level, then james needs to understand that he should create shots for his team first. that's all i'm saying.....but he's has been doing lots of scoring with the raptors and t-wolves. get some assists like nash or kidd. those guys constantly get around 10 assists or more a game. i though rafer did a great job getting assists, but james won't be that type of player. he can talk how it's a team and stuff during camp, but he needs to bring it to the game. I think we got wells and scola who will give us some points now. if everyone is having a bad night, then yeah...he should get more shots, but he's a PG first!

James was doing exactly what he's supposed to do in this offense. He was brought in to be a guy who can score baskets when we need it. He moved well without the ball, and he just had trouble finishing shots he usually makes.

I think he looked just fine out there.

I kinda liked the fact that Adelman wasn't constantly standing, screaming, crying and making 'frustrated face'.

Scary part about this......it looks like the high post is actually a great benefit for him...I know it's just preseason, but it looks like another way of utilizing his game. Because, he was getting alot of easy shots for his teammates and himself. At one point in the 1st quarter, it look like he got so many easy baskets from just passing from the high post and running down low for quick two, after an extra pass from cutter or someone out on the wing.

At least you admitted he can be of value for this team despite Adelman's system. But I still don't think there's even a chance that we trade the only pure PG we have on the team, unless we get another one during the season that's better than him.

Agree on your cut list. Harris should be on the team. The organization screwed up on the Novak draft. I heard that they didn't even let JVG have a say in who to draft. That's ridiculous considering how important the head coach is to a team. I'm not saying JVG would've drafted Paul Millsap, but I'm pretty sure it would be someone that would fit on his team.

Right, like all the time and effort that Adelman puts into preparation, scouting and practice equates to him not giving a damn.

 = Right back at ya.

Where did that come from? Did I say anything about Adelman and his efforts at all in that post?

why do ppl keep saying we need a pure PG?

did the lakers have a pure PG? fisher is a shooting PG and takes 3s, but he makes them.

did the bulls have a pure PG? no pippen was their guy.

notice their "supposed" PG can shoot/score a lil bit. rafer can't do that consistently. if he can, i LOVE to have him play 38 mins a game. but b/c of his inconsistent shooting, he's better served playing 15-20 mins a game.

it's better when yao is moving around on different areas of the court. this way we're not so predictable.

I thought it was a good game it was a learning process and it takes time for the team to gel but at the same time steve francis looked lost out there on one play he got the rebound and skip said run but steve looked around and got the ball poked from behind i think he had a cold or something

Then you better include T-Mac in that analysis too cause in 15 minutes of play his stat line looked like this. 4 pts, 2 assists and 2 rebounds. WOW
