What is wrong with those rankings? That seems like a fair eval from last season -- we've yet to do anything to prove we are better than that. A fifth rank in the West is actually a high position and certainly puts us up in the teams that could win it all.
The title was: "Preseason Rankings, Western Conference." I'm not sure the word power appears in the article without forward following it. The introduction is a VERY short two paragraphs explaining that it is a prediction of playoff seedings. Everyone is just looking for a reason to complain.
Well, first of all their wrong. Secondly, he askes stupid question like, "Can Yao and Tracy co-exist?" That demonstrates some kind of bias. Third, the point of rankings and prediction is not just to restate last year's standings. Fourth, it is fun to complain about other people's rankings!
all valid questions. and yeah, Sloan's guys kicked us out of the playoffs last year. the Yao/Tracy "coexisting" is the most questionable ... had he said "thrive" i'd endorse his take.
Kenny the Jet was not an Htown guy eventhough he won his only two championship team here, but he is not praise for Francis and Mcgrady on the same team, but bottom line he knows this team has better heart than last year.
Ahhh, it's October again. Almost time for me to resume my hate-hate relationship with Kenny Smith again.
im new here but i think he is right because i remember last year t-mac saying he was holding his game back so yao can be the primary guy sometimes on the court it seems like they take turns on who is getting it next instead of the offense flowing
kenny should never be hated PERIOD. Kenny keeps it real, which all the Rocket Legends do, they never kiss butt (except for Clyde). thanks Kenny! thanks Charles!
Kenny was good as a shooter, but that's pretty much it. His show on TNT is really just entertainment... I don't take anything Kenny, Charles, nor what anybody on that show says with any weight. Kenny is just another version of Charles except he's easier to understand.
rankings are worthless and certainly kenny smith is no great basketball analyst. it would be a little more fun if he was homer like kerr was for the spurs. considering we had a better record than utah last season and improved significantly more than they did, i'd question the thinking he used in flipping us around in order. but whatever, the best way to shut people like kenny up is to win ball games.
the people who hate Kenny and Charles have cursed the Rockets out of the 2nd Round every year. You guys need to stop it. you obviously don't care about the championships and the meaning of Clutch City if you hate Kenny Smith or Charles Barkley. its like written in the 10 commandments. I'm surprised but not that surprised. I thought maybe Kenny would at least have us ahead of the Jazz but i don't think you can argue his list because the Rockets even though we have picked up a lot of good talent we're still untested. The league will know soon enough though even "The Jet" will know.
Always show love for the Rocket Heroes.. I'm a big fan of the 97' Rockets that almost got to the finals.
