I would assume Texans fans who live in Austin would enjoy seeing the Texans on their CBS affiliate, but I don't live there so I can't speak for them.
sorry, we're too busy worrying about how the Texans are gonna do than about ratings in Austin. it makes us feel better.
So Green is a definite start? Will he be 100% or will they limit his carries coming off of injury? Jacoby is a gametime decision... I think him playing will give us a boost, although the current squad of WR's has not been bad... Texans - 24 Jags - 17 Historically we play the Jags pretty well. We need this win going into next week against the Titans. GO TEXANS!!!
Unfortunately, I think we'll lose this game, but not by much, since it's a divisional rivalry. (JAX has to win sometime, right?) We played like ass against an 0-3 Atlanta team on the road and an 0-4 Miami team at home, so I can only imagine how we'll fare against a 3-1 team on the road. Please prove me wrong, Texans! Jags 20 Texans 17
Well, I live in Austin and I care if they're playing the game on the local CBS affiliate. The Texans have historically matched up well against the Jags, but we cannot do anything in short-yardage situations (especially in the red zone). This does not bode well for our team. Hopefully we can find a running game (Green?) to help out in this area. Texans - 24 Jags - 27
How do you know this. Is there somewhere that has the ratings. Thats too bad if so, I was thinking the Texans had finally made the leap to be TV worthy
It's going to be a tough game. Even if we were healthy it would be a tough game. It should be a game of defense and special teams. Certainly going to be a chess match... Thank goodness for our special teams... We are going to need them this week, for sure.
Well, my guess is that those of us who do live in Austin do give a s*** that a Texans game in direct competition with the Titans is actually going to be shown here.
With Ahman, the difference is night and day with this team. Ability to run the football just opens up our offense big time. JJ if possible, makes a difference as well should he be able to go. If not have AJ and JJ a go for next week for sure. Need everyone as healthy as possible for the Titan game. Keys to the game: get 150+ on the ground, eat clock, protect the football, rest the D and force Garrard to beat you with his arm, not likely. Should be a typical defensive struggle but, the Texans have a little something extra than do the kitties. Texans 21, Jags 13. Schaub 16-17-201 2 TDs Green 24-103 Gado 9-50 Dayne 12-41. Mr Short yardage back in his role. Triple M dominate on D. Mario, 'Mobi & 'Meco. 5 sacks for the D. Mario with a hat trick.
Just ignore Hillboy man... VY has the worst QB rating among active starters. Seeing is believing I'm sure he's still thinks it's VY that is winning these games. When in reality it's their defense. I hope VY does do better this week. He had the worst QB rating in the NFL this past week. He's going to have to do a heck of a lot better if they expect to win. They are playing TB in TB... GL with that.
think its gonna be tough game for the texans to pull off if they rely on their run game because the jags have been allowing less and less yards on the ground each game... last week they only allowed a total of 9 rushing yards and green is not 100% healthy so they may have to rely on schaub to do most of the work... i think the texans can still take it tho 24 - 21 texans win is my prediction
For what its worth...David Carr had the best QB rating among active starters for the first 5 games of last season.
I don't feel good about this one at all. The David Garrard-led offense looks a lot better than the Leftwich-led version. Even so, optimism is much more fun, so Texans 35 - Jags 14.
It's the Jaguars. Matchups are irrelevant, injuries are irrelevant, records are irrelevant. We own the Jags, and that's just how it goes.
