Too bad Spanoulis isn't playing in our first home game. I would have loved to hear Drexler say that. "Billy Spanoulis, the consummate professional. He cares so much for his country that he turned down millions of dollars to return home. Consummate professional he is."
We've become so used to spoiled athletes that we feel the need to give props to a guy who is just doing his job...and being paid handsomely for it.
I thought Howard got a lot of undeserved abuse here last year. When he was called off the bench last year, there was a period where he was the difference maker for us. No one else, not named McGrady was consistently making those midrange shots.
Inall fairness to bonzi, Juwan already got his 40 million lol In fact he got his 100 million--nothing to really be salty about there.
i was disappointed with Wells last year. this year, he looks in shape, is saying the right things and his attitude seems improved. i can let go of the past ...
100% right. Howard has already rang the cash register big time in this league and he is in the twilight of his career.
bonzi turned down his 40 million...remember? only himself to blame on that one. Plus, the guy was drafted number 11 and has played 10 years in the NBA as a starter (or fairly key player)...I think he's done well.
"In Houston, I was TMac" EDIT: What the hell, this IS probably the final-ever Juwan Howard thread in the GARM: Vaya con dios, amigo.
It's all the JVG lovers. but you can't blame them. They are suffering from gross morphological neurochemical disorders resulting in alterations in the density and size of their frontolimbic brain regions resulting in a permanent bitter beer face. PHOTO OF SUFFERING JVG LOVER
Huh???? If you don't get the amount you think you are worth, that gives you the right to act like Bonzi did. I know you know better than that.
If I'm not mistaken Bonzi said since he's getting paid 1/4 of what he's worth, he'll give 1/4 the effort. I don't think that's the right thing to say to anyone.
