He was playing with no control, trying to do too many "fancy" things, and was being hounded by Bobby Jackson, leading to two quick turnovers that were his fault only (meaning, that it wasn't missed passes, or anything, just steals off of his dribble).

Because of Brown's poor showing, Mooch was left out there to completely break down. If there had been someone decent to back him up, he could have rested early in the 4th and then come back in and possibly had another outburst like the one in the 3rd.

What is sad (or good. I guess) is that we still almost won this game. A rested moochie could have been the difference, since no one else could hit a jumpshot towards the end.

He dribbled into some nothing, twice in a row. But before that, I liked what I saw. I was at the game and watched him go back to the bench. Rudy talked to him for a second, then Jones. Then when Brown took a seat next to Rudy, Mobley walked over in his street clothes and talked to him really closely for awhile.

I saw encouragement. But I also saw a coach who wanted to nip the mistakes in the bud that night, to put him back out the next night after showing him some video.

Tierre is very fast, wants to run, can definitely dribble through transition defense, wants to pass and do what's right, and will not hesitate to shoot when that is the right thing to do.

Well done Tierre, but Rudy wants to teach, and if that means pulling you after dribbling twice into nothing, learn from it.

Hey TroyBaros, tell me the truth. Was Tierre injured? I've always wanted to know how lame IR "injuries" can be.

I luv Tierre on the court for the Rox. He is always moving forward forcing the action. There have been so many times this year I have seen Steve or Mooch dribble the air out of the ball without any advancement to the basket; it sickens me. What happened to "push the ball" "run and gun". Brown reminds me of Cassell when he first came in, always making something happen when he is on the floor.

Troy...you know Tierre personally, right?

New BBS member kleger is Tierre's HS coach? Hey kleger, did you see the game? Tell Tierre's dad this:

He mentioned Tierre, first. And Tmo, sorry dude, lol, Terrence has to work on his jumper.

crispee, sorry dude, but a 'Terrence' on the Rockets does not exist. And Tmo had a great game last night--he didn't miss a shot.

Yes tierre had 2 turnovers in just over 3 minutes but he also had 3 steals yeah thats right. His enthusiasm was great at the time but also the whole game got real loosy-goosy as calvin would say still he hit his only shot and he didn't just dribble down the clock or hold the ball and hope for something to develop a trait Mooch shows way too much. I want to see about 1/4 of the iso-istic type stuff we're currently seeing. And less pick and rolls where the gaurd has already decided it's just meant to help him get an outside shot. We nees more outlet passes and running the break because it shoold be a strength of our team in particular and it can't be killed by a zone. On that point we should also try to play a little more zone when we can cause our personel could use the help and I've noticed our tendency to play all around better when we help more and swarm. That really helps us on the offensive side too. Give Morris some time he needs to be comfortablr in order to get aggressive and he's not quite there yet. One more thing even if Mooch were playing better and we had nobody behind him I want him to play just like 36 minutes.

Allow me to explain something to everyone on the BBS. It is rare to find a MattsayzIstillbelieve post. When you do, you will always find a gem quote like above.

That's so spot on!

The guards do decide ahead of time what they are going to do with the pnr. ummmmm...guys, the point is to maintain "confident patience," as oeilpere says, and expose the defensive weakness before deciding what to do with the pnr.

Who has ever seen Bobby Knight with arm around his PG's shoulders schooling him on the sideline. If you make a plan in your head before the play has developed, Bobby Knight is going to see it whether you scored or not, and he is going to give you an earfull....but he is still going to have you run the next possession...because he needs a PG.

We need a PG. Steve and Moochie are clinging to simplicity and what they know....let go boys. Trust the system.

Brown passed the ball before dribbling off 20 seconds of the shot clock - that's why he was pulled!

no Rudy pulled Tierre because he doesnt have alot of confidence in him yet. I can see why thought, because he is only a rookie and sometimes makes some bad decisions. However, I like him more than moochie already, and hopefully he'll be getting 10+ minutes by next week. He did make some stupid turnovers by trying to do too much, but I'd consider moochie dribbling around forever and throwing up **** like he did for the last 3 ****ing plays as "turnovers" also. don't say Tierre can't shoot because his shot is not bad at all
I hope rudy give him more burn next game, because steve's gonna be back in 3 weeks (www.slamonline.com/links) and then he'll be back on IR
Rudy really does play mooch way way too much and I'm scared when Cuttino comes back Tierre is going to get NO playing time
