Luther doesn't even have to make an amazing jump. I believe if he simply improves between last season and this one as much as he did between his rookie and sophomore campaigns we're going to have a serious player.

That's alot to ask I know, but in my eyes his game was much more solid than his sporadic rookie season last year. If he improves along the same lines coming into this season we could very well have a Ricky Davis level offensive player. Which would be a welcome addition considering his age and cost to the team.

I said right off the bat either alston otr james will start. i see rafer starting for the 1st 6 minutes and james playing the 2nd 6. that gives rafer around 24 minutes a night. thats the type of minutes that alston will thrive in.

I still have no idea why we picked Landry. I think he's a wasted pick, and wouldn't be shocked if he's cut. But, what do I know? I have a feeling we'll often wish we'd have picked Big Baby or anyone of 5 or 10 other players.

Well I liked the Landry pick at the time but now it looks like it was a wasted pick.

I doubt we'd cut him though, given we've invested over a million bucks in him already before he's even put on an uniform. Les and Morey sure won't want to seem stupid.

this sounds a little like a gm trying to prop up some players he wants to trade like skip and jl3. feigen has always been a mouthpiece for the organization and he may be doing them another favor trying to drum up interest in players by saying what a good camp they are having.

Well heck, the person he has been saying the most about is Chuck. If that's true maybe I should be worried again.

I think the last spot will be between Mike Harris and Kirk Snyder. They have the right to Landry for like 2 years right? They dont need him this year, so they could let him play in europe for a while.

I agree, it is definitely not looking good for novak. I think we can assume his days are numbered since I have yet to see a single positive thing in any media outlet about his camp.

i think landry may end up a wasted pick but i really don't see us wishing we had anyone behind him. not saying there won't be good second-round players, but our depth is spilling over as is.

If those impressions hold up into the season, maybe some folks around here will rethink their ability to assess talent. Alston, Hayes, Head... there are quite a few around here that would have dropped most or even all three for nothing ...

At Illinois Luther was always cutting and running off screens to shoot 3s. If that is going to be what is asked of him things should work out well for him this year.

It's a smokescreen to up Rafer's trade value before` we trade him
IMO for sure Alston won't start , we didn't bring in 3 more point guards to start the same guy.
It's James or Francis don't know which one .

is anyone else deep down worried about francis? i mean first we heard that he and tracy werent all that buddy-buddy, and now were hearing that he had the most problems in the first week? sure we might expect a lil friction btw him and 'the man' in his old town, and people were predicting that stevie would have the most problems, but thats somewhat troublesome. all im sayin is that something could go wrong. I really want francis to prove me wrong, but the sidestories are really bothering me. dont get me wrong, i love that hes back and really excited to see what he can do here, but im just takin a lil caution...

I've been "worried" ever since we signed him because his game doesn't fit what Adelman coaches. I didn't want him here but since he's now a Rocket we need to support SF. Hopefully he will be up to the challenge and learn his place in RA's system. If not, oh well.

I was actually opposed to the idea of SF3 coming back to town when the rumors started. But now that he's in town, I accepted it and hoped that he could fit in well with our team. I'm not too worried about him and Tmac. They haven't gotten to know each other well enough just yet, so I'd give them until January to mesh.

I don't think it's gonna be that bad as long as SF3 doesn't act up first. Tmac seems like a laid back kinda guy who'd get along with anyone if they're nice to him. But I don't completely rule out the possibility of a minor friction.

I just hope we don't get Howard back because then we'd have to worry about MJ vs JHo and Tmac vs SF3.

Lets just hope that this team wins a lot of games because that could be a remedy to any problem the players may have.
