This is tragic. For those of us that have actually seen May play (when he wasn't injured---rare, I know) on a consistent basis we all know that he's a VERY talented and skilled post player. He is 20-10 good, IMO. His body just can't back him up.
It looks like microfracture might be the basketball version of Tommy John surgery...a very long recovery time, but can extend a career beyond what it would have been without surgery...
I agree. He has very polished post moves. Great offensive post player. Too bad he keeps breaking down.
I made a point to watch them last year against the Magic. (I'm convinced that Emeka's still a better player than Dwight Howard and wanted evidence of it.) May was unstoppable on offense, going off for 32/7, and stripped Dwight every time he tried to do anything on offense. If he could stay healthy, he'd have a damn good career.
Yeah it's frustrating just as an NBA fan. I hate wasted talent. The good thing though for May is he isn't one of those players that are reliant upon their athleticism to be effective. He should be able to come back and give it another shot. By that time i'm sure the Bobcats will have given up on him. I'd most certainly take a chance on him somewhere down the road.
Can we trade them Butler and/or Landry and throw in Lucas, too? Aren't they under the cap so we could just trade some people to them without taking anything back? Looks like we can't trade Landry before Nov. 1?

wow, of the 2 you listed...Hilario is LIGHT years ahead of James. Not so sure they could get Nene as cheap as you seem to think..esp w/KMart uncertain and Camby being Camby.
