I apologize that I only have a few minutes to post... Yao's first practice today. The team finished up early today. When we came in, the players were just doing shootaround. Media was all around Yao. Players were very happy to see Yao ... said he integrated himself and picked up on the plays quickly. Yao is recovering from a cold he picked up in China. I spoke with Adelman, T-Mac (briefly), Yao, Daryl Morey and Chuck Hayes today. HayesFan -- you may like that I asked Chuck about ChuckHayesFans.net... he said he's suing you (J/K). T-Mac and Adelman audio is already up.
Thanks a lot Clutch. Drive safe in the rain, get back home and let's enjoy a couple of preseason games next week.
Thanks Clutch! Good interviews, I really liked hearing about the dleague stuff from Morey... and thanks for asking about the site. I thought it was likely that he knew about it, but fun to know for sure.
Looked for it on my TiVo last night and I couldnt see that the game is being televised, but I imagine it will be. Thanks Clutch! These audio updates have been making work bearable every day.
yea, I tried to set it in advance on my TiVo as well but not showing up yet..but im pretty sure come sunday or monday..it'll be there...
There is no better site for sports fans of a specific team! Thank You Clutch for everything you do for us fans! Now lets go out and dominate the league.
Let's hope it's not SARS. j/k Too bad you weren't able to see the scrimmage. I'm curious how Adelman is going to work Yao into the offense. From your recaps of Day 1 and 2, it sounds like they are playing a very uptempo, fastbreak basketball. I could be mistaken though since I wasn't there and just skimmed the summaries. What's ya'lls opinion about Yao's conditioning? I can't see him running the floor a la Amare...but at the same time fighting for position down low is probably more physically exhausting. If Yao spends more time at the elbow (let's say 25% of the time), he'll probably be fresher at the end of the game to bang in the post. Also, he won't be picking up those stupid offensive fouls thus allowing him to play more aggressively on defense. That's just my opinion... I'm anticipating the return of Yao-Francis alley-oops. Hopefully TMac will want some of that action too.
