How's it going? I am in the mood to go out tonight (very rare) and I am not really a club person. I prefer a nice laid back place to slow dance with my woman. Anyone know of a good place? Looking for something with an older crowd maybe 25+ that is not too small. No hip-hop or techno type of stuff.

    Any suggestions?

That just came up in my head, but yea the clubbing scene is always the same...you may want to try a Jazz Cafe like Sambucca or Red Cat's..I've never been but it seems like a cool laid back place to hang out.

lol I didn't mean 25+ is OLD, I just meant I don't want to be hanging out with 19 yr olds. I'm 23.

BTW, anyone ever been to the Pi Bar & Lounge?

Yeah yeah yeah... backpedal all you want. You still just called me an old fart.

    (s'okay.. I AM an old fart) ;)

Seriously, though... I don't know of a slow-dancing romantic place. Wife and I don't get out much.

I would check out Sambuca in downtown. Good live music and even better drinks. You might want to get there early, it gets packed.

That's where my lady and I will be this evening.

    Bladeage....I suggest Marfreless.

The sofa dancing there is outstanding.

And you know what's great? No matter how old you get, you'll always be older than me! ;)

Back to the topic: I assume you were asking about the Houston area, yes? Because if it was Austin, I'd suggest Reed's Jazz and Supper Club.
