Panthers QB Jake Delhomme hopes a rigorous rehabilitation program will allow him to avoid season ending surgery on his strained right elbow. A week after it was announced Delhomme would not need surgery, Delhomme acknowledged an operation is possible. Delhomme was injured when he was sacked by Atlanta's John Abraham. He sat out Sunday's 20-7 loss to Tampa Bay, when backup David Carr and the Panthers didn't cross the Buccaneers 45-yard line until late in the fourth quarter. Coach John Fox said last week an MRI showed no structural damage and indicated surgery was not needed. But on Monday he indicated he meant to say surgery wasn't immediately necessary. Later, he said doctors brought up surgery as a possibility after Delhomme had more tests late last week. (Updated 10/01/2007). http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1626 I guess we will see if Carr has got it or not!! Looks like Delhomme might miss some time. This will be interesting to see.
Yes they are. Watching Carr now is entertaining just like watching McNabb getting put on his backside 12 times against the Giants like he was a $5 hoe!
I think everyone here has seen enough, but it will be interesting to see what excuses they come up with.
Wow, Carr's grand scheme of collecting a check while safely holding a clipboard on the sideline this year has really backfired. He may have to play the rest of the year! Seriously, I wish nothing bad for the guy personally. He's a good person. But it will be fun to see how this all turns out.
Oh you can go ahead and snicker all you want at Carr's continuing misfortunes. That's your right and all but be aware that while you are getting your jollies at his expense, folks around the country are doing the same thing with the Texans because to many football fans, the Texans are an excuse for a professional football team.
Mr. Carr, please stop defending your son here. Do you still have the mullet or did you cut it? Carr's misfortunes? Misfortunes makes it sound like he has bad luck. No, he's just a bad QB. And I can accept that most cities think the Texans are a joke of a franchise. I admit we have sucked in the past (not this year). The ironic part is that our major lineup change was at QB (the line is still the same) yet our offense is efficient. Coincidence?
So instead of being concerned with what's happening here with the Texans, you guys would rather giggle and throw stones at David Carr over at Carolina. OK fine, I actually have no problem with that but you should remember this the next time you find yourself outraged at the lack of respect or at the ridicule coming the Texans' way because they aren't getting the job done on the field. And since when can a Texans' fan laugh at anyone else's misfortune?
That's right. In the name of all that is holy, do not ever, and I mean EVER....enjoy being a Texans fan. Sincerely, Hillboy P.S. Stop smiling too.
Carr's attitude since he left has been very negative towards Houston. Saying things like he wasnt having fun, comments about protection, talking about how good of a team he is on now...he didnt take any responsibility in the suckage that was the Houston Texans. That was the frustrating part. Now that he is on a "good" team, I want to see how they are when he is the QB. Maybe he will get a clue that it wasnt the players surrounding him...rather, it was him that was the problem.
Are you dyslexic or something? Can you even read? The name's HillBoy and not Carr. And is your hatred of David Carr that so great that you simply can't let him go? He's yesterday's news AFAIK.
Umm, if you look in this forum, there are other threads talking about the Texans. Last time I checked, this was was about David Carr. I think after spending years watching that poor excuse for a QB ruin our offense, I have earned a right to criticize his play. David Carr is a good person, but a terrible leader and a bad QB. Results speak for themselves. And you do seem to have a problem with it because you are trying to derail the thread with talk about other people's thoughts on the Texans. See, I'm not outraged at the lack of respect that the Texans get. Until we make the playoffs, we don't deserve it. And until Carr plays like a legit NFL qb, he doesn't deserve any respect either (on the field...off the field he appears to be a solid guy). Please describe misfortune to me. Seriously. The guy was paid over $40 million dollars, yet failed miserably. He still collected the money, yet was still an incompetent qb.
This is what I don't understand and I'm being serious. How does ridiculing David Carr make what happened to the Texans Sunday in Atlanta enjoyable? How can anything the Carr does or says or doesn't do from here on out have any bearing on what's going on now with the Texans?
Why does starting a thread on David Carr playing terribly on sunday have ANYTHING to do with the Texans losing? So if we had won and this thread was started, it would be okay?
