HOUSTON -- It's time to meet the latest collection of Rockets. The Rockets will open the doors of Toyota Center on Monday, Oct. 8 to give fans their first look at this season's roster in an inter-squad scrimmage. The open practice is free to the public, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a voucher to either join the team's post-practice autograph session or shoot a free throw on the Rockets' home court! The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. Along with getting an opportunity to watch Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming workout with the rest of the team for the first time this season, fans will have a chance to view the team's brand new floor. The court has been redesigned to feature a two-tone, wood-style look that should create a more vibrant view of the action. Don't miss your first chance of the season to see the new-look Rockets. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Rockets_will_host_open_practic-236937-34.html Whos going i missed it last year and gotta work again this year......somebody get some pics for us lock if there is already a thread
yeah they had something like that in terms of food last year. the long lines kind of killed the special though.. going at around 1130 is probably okay but you'll get some far seats. they just scrimmage for <35 minutes and then autograph sessions. haha someone threw their ticket to shoot a freethrow so i picked it up and shot two. it was pretty interesting and not to mention that i got to shake rybo and azibuke's hands.
I'm really wanting to call-in to work that day. I don't have vacation days or anything but.. I just wanna go!!
The way the Rockets are going after every point guard, I might go old school and see if I can get a tryout, after watching skip get abused by Deron Williams and lack of ability to hit the side of the barn, I feel I can do no worst.
what? i attend a university (PV) and im 99% sure there are classes next monday..i thinki i might even have midterms...FUUUK!!
haha I feel your pain man... depending on if I have an exam that day or not, I might just skip my classes and go to the training.
I'll be going to the open practice next Monday for the first time. Can someone give me some more insight into it? Where do we sit? Do we get a special tour of the arena or anything? How long is it? Concession stands going to be open? Just stuff like that. Thanks in advance.
