OK, even I'll admit in retrospect that the Texans should've grabbed VY. That said, quit lubing us with KY on the subject. We get it. No more KY on VY.
I didn't read this thread, but I do want to pledge my support for all ridiculous Vince Young threads. May there be a VY thread every week until I die.
I don't really care either way on VY anymore, but that interview on 60 Minutes, kind of portrayed him in a negative fashion from what I saw.
you can see the 60 minutes segment at http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/60minutes/main3415.shtml It did seem like they were trying to portray him as an arrogant delinquent. What you need to understand though is that if you want to be a great athlete, you HAVE to be cocky. You have to believe that YOU are the one to take over the game when the game is on the line. I think if they wanted to do a less biased piece they should have done more interviews with his teammates and coaches.
actually i mostly make a comment like that. so i can get the rude comment back from people like you. cheers
"Not everyone is a leader. Not everyone wants that kind of pressure," Young said. "Not everyone wants to be the one to tell a star guy on your football team, 'You need to slow down.' " "Not taking anything away from Reggie Bush," Young said. "That's who the voters picked, and he deserved the Heisman. I just felt like the guys around me had done a great job of getting me to New York, so I wanted to bring it home to Texas for them and the people of Houston. It was a painful moment for me. link
I think he should have won the the trophy. But as a messenger of god, vince young, should not be thinking so highly of himself. I just don't want him to suffer the same fate as Moses.
where is the vy summer activities page... or the lets have a new nickname for vy cuase he feels hes outgrown his old one thread, and o yah wer is his personal sina blog thread. VY is the best pointforward cause he brings the ball up, passes, and is able to score.
I want to know the source of the morbid self-loathing of those who can't stand anything about VY doing things like clicking on his threads with his name on it and watching his games where he keeps breaking hearts by stamping a L on the other side. That said I have not been impressed with a lot of public comments lately. I heard he was kind of dismissive of McNabb and other AA QBs who paved the way. And he does seem full of himself--but he is a great athlete and spectacular football player who wins a lot of games, and from all I can tell his teammates have his back. Right now actions and the support of his teammates outweigh the immature comments.
I prefer this Vince Young video. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cU0nG78bIJc"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cU0nG78bIJc" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
oh yeah is that the one where vince young had a bunch of fans from "another" city cheering for his team?
