So I sold my iPod to this guy on eBay around 2 weeks ago and he still hasn't paid after countless messages i sent him. I recently checked his feedback and recently someone put "warning waste of time ignores you etc". Now that I have basically came to the conclusion that he will not pay I did the mark as unpaid item and now there is a dispute. What Do I do now If he doesn't respond to the unpaid item dispute? I know i can Relist it but isn't there some sort of legal contract that your binded to the item you bid for on Ebay? Will I get my money back for listing fees? (8 dollars)
I'd just re-list the item and forget about it. I don't think legally there is anything you can do, and $8 isn't worth the trouble.
Speaking of eBay problems, I tried selling my PSP on there and the guy who won the auction was one of those Nigera scammers. He sent me spoofed emails from paypal and ebay. Ebay actually suspended the account he was using and he actually sent me an spoofed email that says they reinstated it. There is no way I could fall for it but I can see how it could trick some people who are not informed.
After 10 days of him not paying, you can go and select an "I don't want to wait for this guy's response" (or something like that) and you will get your ebay selling fees back (I think you might still be out listing fees). I'm pretty sure you can do that now since you have already waited 2 weeks. It's a good idea to add that person to your blocked bidders list. Also, you can block certain bidders from your items (like has more than 2 negs in the past month-or something like that).
im thinking about buying a Rolex watch on ebay. how safe are these things. im scared of paying thousands of dollars for a fake. but its so much cheaper than going to a authorized dealer
Exact same thing happened to me when I sold my laptop. The annoying thing is I wait a whole week to get it over with, and then after the fraud I had to relist and wait another week.
When you list the item, set it so that no one with less than 10 feedback can bid on your item. Also make it so that no international people can buy the item.
I bought this thing on ebay and I didn't get all that was promised and he won't accept a refund and he still wont sent me the item .

man... phock ebay. i've been going there for a while trying to find the nintendo powerglove (waayyyy overpriced) and finally found someone on craigslist that's selling it to me for thirty. i remember posting something here in the feedback section a while ago. google craigslist alternatives and call it a day. oh... sorry. didn't really answer your question. i'm not really here right now.
It's so much cheaper for a reason. Right now there is a surge in counterfeit electronics coming out from Hong Kong and NY. I almost bought a BT headset for 60% MSRP until I read up on it. If it's counterfeit, you can report the sale if they claim it is real, but otherwise, you're going to have a hard time getting your money back. My advice would be to read up on counterfeit rolexes to know the look and feel of a fake watch if you're itching to get one from a non-authorized dealer.
