meh. i love playing basketball on the real. if lifting a 3 oz controller or flicking a wrist is considered strenuous, then maybe wii gameplay isnt for you. but there is a reason why wiis are selling 2-1 over other consoles. the new gameplay is just fun, straight up, and creative. it isnt too difficult to figure out how developers can easily go from A to B on the gameplay necessities you mentioned for a bball game, especially with the wii. and having people over and then next thing you know your living room is a bowling alley sans shoe fees, darts sans garage humidity...hang outs have just never been the same. so i mean, no offense cause ps3 2k8 is sure to be lots of fun, for the 100s of 1000s that have done the wii switch, chasing graphics has just become, imo, antiquated. there's just no going back. its like a jump fro 2-d to 3d. from black and white to color.
According to Pat Riley Shaq checked into training camp at around 370: http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_basketball_heat/2007/09/how-are-wade-an.html Question: Will this be a year Shaquille O'Neal arrives to camp in shape, or will there again be a wait on his conditioning? Riley: "First of all, it's old news. I, as a writer, would finally get off of that with him. I laugh every time I read about it. It's like someone who wants to keep hanging something on a model's face because she covers up her acne with makeup or something. The guy is who he is. He's one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He's a big, big man. Ever since he's been in Miami, he's been in condition. What do you want him to be? 300 pounds. Come on. He's a big man. For everybody to ask him to say you have to be 320 pounds the first day of training camp I think is totally unrealistic for that. We've studied his mass. The guy probably is a 370 pounder. But everybody wants him to be 320, and so they hang this on his head all the time. He's led us to a championship. He's been hurt a couple of times since he's been here and it hasn't been because he broke. He got kneed; he got kneed twice, OK? I think it gets old. I get tired about talking about it." (Again, we tried.) Summary: Riley says Wade will be back when he's back; Riley says stop asking about O'Neal's weight. Nice call EA Sports rating Shaq ahead of Yao for this year, a soon to be 36 year old 370 pounder that had knee surgery last year
Does anyone have this game yet, since it was released on Monday? I'de love to hear some early impressions on the game.
