I like Walmart. Their prices are hard to beat. I like to go to the one in Westheimer/Dunvale. It's crowded, but I'm used to going there. There's another Walmart at 45/Almeda, that one is bigger.. but not as complete. Btw, I only go there for groceries.
Target feels nicer inside, but the lines suck as well. They have like 60 check out booths and at any one time, only about 4 on each end are actually open.
I was never a fan of Gual-marr. I don't like places that combine groceries and electronics. To me, going to different stores gives me something to do on the weekends.
I try not to shop at Walmart, but this works at wallyworld or Targèt for beating long lines. Check your stuff out at the pharmacy or electronics section.
i admit, i like the convenience of walmart. but my last experience with them sucked. it was 11pm on the night before school started when my kid springs his "class supply lists" on me. apparently, high school teachers enjoy scavenger hunts. so i'm racing through the leftovers at walmart nearing midnight crossing off the items from each of the half-dozen lists i was given. finally, i've had enough fun and decide to check out. only one cashier at midnight (ok, what do u expect?) who apparently, hadn't completed his training. takes 30 minutes to get the first two customers out of the way. the guy in front of me said "keep the change" and left. have u ever heard anyone in a walmart tell a cashier to "keep the change"? it was a completely ridiculous debacle brought on by my kid, his teachers, and a cashier-in-training. it sucked like a stripper trying to make rent.
Not to mention, they're standards aren't that high. The next time they ban a customer will probably be the first.
I avoid WalMart, unless it's 3AM and I absolutely need something. The last time I shopped there, it was that time of day, and my coffee grinder went belly up. I had to have coffee, so I sucked it up and went. The one by my house in Meyer Park is a complete clusterf*ck and always dirty. Even at 3AM I had to wait in line to checkout.
I saw the most disturbing thing ever in a Wal-Mart. I won't go into the details but it involved a 300 lbs. woman, a see through skirt, and a thong. I go to Wal-Mart as little as possible now.
Not to mention the fact that there is no way a K-Mart manager would be capable of typing such a properly structured letter.
did you return something well past the return date or not have a receipt? i've gotten cash back or a return to my debit card anytime i've returned something there. target kicks walmart's ass but walmart's 24 hour convenience is nice.
