who do you think will win the Rookie of the year this season?

I would take Kevin Durant or Yi.

    Yi as a sleeper.

    Obviously Durant IMO.

Someone's gonna get mad you didn't put Scola as a choice.

is that a question worth asking?

Even IF you wanted to say that Durant and Yi are on the same level.. Durant has Jeff Green to compete with for shots. And Luke freaking Ridnour.. Robert Swift..etc.

Yi has Michael Redd, Des Mason, Bogut, Villaneuva, Mo Williams, etc.

Everything points to Durant being a lock. If I could get 1:2 odds I might have to take him.

there's also such things as injures and busts. so you don't know what's going to happen.

yes, scola qualify as a rookie. As long as you are playing for the first time in the nba it doest matter when you are drafted.

    I can't see Durant's 38-41% from the field and 5.7rpg warranting ROY.

In my opinion Durant. Seattle lost Allen and Lewis so now he has a lot of work to do...

I think Durant's going to win it, but there's this power forward from Florida who who was second on his team in scoring (while shooting over 60%) and led his team in rebounding over the past two years. Oh yeah, and both of those teams won national championships. And he's going to Atlanta where there won't be much competition. I'm just sayin'.

he's a sleeper because nobody expects him to win. I'm pretty sure if you ask most people he wouldn't be in your top 5 or even in your top 10 list.

Yi would be a sleeper because his team isn't that bad like the Sonics or the Grizzlies. Bucks had injures this season that had a shot at 8th place if Redd or Mo Williams and Bobby Simmons weren't hurt.

in any other year, maybe it wouldn't. this season he will be the only rookie who is a top 3 scoring option on his team. in fact, he's the first option.

he will get 18ppg even if he shoots 25% from the feild. no other rookie (as i see it) will get close to scoring in the high teens.

Yi is gonna keep sleeping.. that kid is scrub.

The red in me wants to say Scola.. but Durant is the easy way out. Scola has Tmac, SF3, Yao that'll make it impossible for him to boast huge stats.

Rip Van Winkle is the ultimate sleeper.
