Okay, beating 4 crappy teams (Chi, GS, Den, Dal) is fun, but the Portland and Miami games are real eye-openers. When a "crappy" team beats two conference leaders in tandem, one has to wonder how "crappy" that team is. Given that the Rox have 3 relatively easy games ahead (I don't think the TWolves are much of a threat), I think the Lakers game (NBC) will be a toss up. The Rox could very well end up walking into that game on a nine-game winning streak, and if they do, then the whole dynamic of the game could change. I'll be interested to see how they deal with Steve Francis. The teaming they'll have to throw at him might just take away enought time from Shaq to make a difference (ie, minimize Shaq's effectiveness by minimizing the involvement of his teammates...). Kobe & Rice v. Stevie & Cat should be interesting... And if the Rox can pull out a win there, you can forget everything you heard and saw in the first half of the season...
hey a 9 game winning streak that would be awesome but do not underestimate the wolves there going on a 4 game winning streak... and does anyone know if brandons going to play... and does anyone else beleive we can catch minnesotta and go into the playoffs.??
Well, we are 7 games behind Minnesota for the #8 spot... but, we have 4 games left against them. If we can sweep them (unlikely, but making the playoffs is going to need quite a bit coming together), that leaves us 3 games behind with 40+ games left, since we'd hold the tie-breaker -- not too difficult at all. The key will be beating them in head-to-head games and making up ground, since they've shown no interest in losing while we've been on the 6 game streak.
At this point I'm all about whatever. If the Rockets continue winning at a good clip we'll maybe the postseason is in their future. Nothing would make me happier than a 10 game win streak being established against the Lakers.....Just win .
Tsk, tsk, tsk.....methinks we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let us not forget that the T-Pups are <font color="red">HOT<font color="black"> right now. Personally, I find Tuesday's game to be the true test -- can we ride our momentum over the surging wolves or will we found ourselves trampled beneath the feet of the Wolfpac?
Man, if we take a nine game winning streak into the Lakers game it will be awesome. I'm not sure how great we will do against them. Shaq ALWAYS dominates us. Hopefully Hakeem can play a decent game. Maybe the Kelvinator can do a little something to help the Rocks get ten straight. We will need big games from Steve & Kenny. I think Kenny can really dominate if he tries. He'll be going up against like AC Green at the best. ------------------ Sir Charles is DA MAN.
