Were it me making the call, I'd boot your ass for that comment. I'm ticked off about yet another disruption of Yao's schedule with the Rocks, but have absolutely nothing but respect for why he is staying for the Special Olympics. Are you some kind of damned Neanderthal or something? No, that would be an insult to the dear departed Neanderthals. It's the 21st century, dude. Find a brain, somewhere. Maybe it's in your closet.

    (insert roll-eyes here)

I don't think there's anything wrong with Yao's decision. It is a noble cause. I would say raising awareness for such an event heavily outweighs 2 days of freakin practice in terms of importance. We're talking about people's lives here...

You are right. 2 trainings that's not too much so that was a good decision Yao

Plus, he already feels guilty for doing so, and is forking out his own money to cover for his absence. I wish more atheletes were like that.

I do not care if Yao miss two days or three days as long as my boy Scola is in the camp on time. Go Scola. Hahaha.

Some things in life are more important than the first two or three days of training camp.

I applaud the big man for recognizing that fact, we are lucky to have him as a Rocket.

Yao is smart, is always in shape, and should not suffer too much by missing 2 practices.

Let Deke be the starter for those 2 days, and see if he can hold big Yao off when he gets back...

    :D

You are wrong. 7500USD is about 60000RMB in China. That is about 120 per kid a month. Chinese food price is rising more in these months. You can't take the money earned in American to consume in China for two countrys' level is different.

Don't you worried about that 20k fine. Yao is going to sell the video of his presence on the Special Olympics to the NBA for their "we care" commercial. It's going to cost the NBA a lot more than 20k for that. ;)

Yes I know money that's nothing and that's not about that but for us (for me) $10 000 that's a lot, for Yao that's nothing
