If you can remember, what is your record when attending Rockets games? Are you a death sentence when in attendance, or do the Rockets dominate every time you're there to watch? My record is 2-1. It should have been 3-0, but Francis missed an easy layup that would have sealed one of the Seattle games, leading to a Sonics W.
5-1 overall 3-1 last year Indiana at Houston = W New Jersey at Houston = W San Antonio at Houston = W Houston at Dallas = L
Too many games to count, but one in particular stands out. It was 1985 or 86, and the Rockets started the season 20-0 at home. I went to see them take on the hated Jazz. The Jazz won, ending their 20 game home win streak. I've always felt like a bad luck charm ever since.
I don't recall exactly, but I had a really long winning streak going in all sports(46 games) when I was in attendance, but the Rockets loss to the Lakers this year broke that.
BGM, you are one lucky mother. You saw the 3ot game? Damn I'm jealous... I'm 1-1. Portland game last year - L Dallas game this year - W
Maybe they should ask these questions at the Compaq arena? Like you have a card, and they stamp it, so everytime you go, they know if you're bad luck or not and whether to let you in or not...LOL....Get rid of bad luck...
Half an hour before I take off on the long drive (I'm 21 miles away but the traffic...) to Seattle. I am so nervous. I hope Stevie plays...
Yep, I'm 5 and 0 in my lifetime when I attend a Rockets game at the Summit. Including the Triple OT game against Indy and the win over San Antonio...
I have kept record of my games..... 19 wins 17 losses I have never attended a road game Favorite win was a tie, Game 3 of the 1995 NBA Finals AND an 82-75 win over hated Seattle in the first meeting in 1993-94 Worst loss was a 105-100 overtime loss to the Jazz (in 1996-97) in the second meeting. The Rockets managed to choke away an 88-84 lead with 30 secs left (Barkley hit a huge three in the corner), but Johnny Stockton sent the game into overtime with a game-tying three at the buzzer, which we all know was a sign of things to come. Olajuwon's 41 points and 15 rebounds were wasted. That part hurt the most. On Dec. 6, I will see Michael Jordan in person for the first time ever. On Dec. 20 I will see the Lakers in person for the first time ever.
1-0 Houston @ GSW I was really pissed because Barkley had his injury after I bought my tickets, so I got to see no Barkley and no Olajuwon. But who cares when they bring out Bill Curley
Most of the games I attended were in the 86-87 season so my record can't be that bad, I think around 500. I was hyped about going to my first game, and on the way to the Summit I heard on the radio that Lloyd and Wiggins were suspended that day. I'm pretty sure we lost that one. j
