i don't remember Rome's take on MW when Texans took him. but i expect a lot of ass kissing when he's on.

rome: how nice was it to get out quickly and was it your coming out party?
mw: good to come out the way i did after all the adversity last year.

rome: how much easier is it now after a year?
mw: i worked out hard during off season, the first year was alot of help.

rome: how much was it that you are not VY and how much was it b/c of the foot?
mw: my head was spinning b/c i was trying to learn every defensive line position...trying to learn my role. the foot injury was a big setback.

rome: are you going to get the last laugh
mw: not thinking about that, just want to put up the numbers on the field.

rome: after the chiefs game, kubiak said you were a force down in and down out, how important is that?
mw: one of the things that make you work harder

rome: Okoye got a couple of sacks, you said you were pumped up and got them yourself, is that something you try to help him with
mw: i don't want him to go through what i did last year b/c he was a first round draft pick...with all the criticism

rome: how was matt schaub able to establish himself as a leader
mw: he's been a general and have eveyrone pay attention to what he's saying. he keeps his composure. that's his mentality.

rome: david carr tooka pounding, was he a general.
mw: i like david, wish him the best. right now that is nothing in my hands. he's in another organization

rome: how does your defense match with the colts
mw: get to the ball, get Manning on the ground. hard to rattle him...especially the front 4.

rome: i respect how you've handled this. do you think tide is turning?
mw: fans seem to be turning around. depends on the record at the end of the year.

There were some trap questions and MW definitely gave the right responses.

Interview was nice, but Rome sure has not given the peeps in houston a chance to respond to the interview! Instead he throws some Andy P and NY Yankees crap in. Stop rubbing the salt in my eyes Rome!!

I like that he didn't throw Carr under the bus too, even though Carr hasn't exactly been silent since he left the team. High road is always the best road. I do wish Mario would try to make some of these interviewers admit their mistake in their predictions of Mario and Bush, though. :D

You know people keep saying that stuff about Carr throwing the Texans under the bus BS. I think it's overblown and misunderstood. When he said they wouldn't have won that game last season... I think it was Carr's way of saying... We wouldn't have won that game with me as a QB.

I also think this is why Carr wasn't a very good leader. Even when he is admitting responsibility... he's still trying to hide.

And I'm not Carr lover either. It's just the way it came across to me.
