If you planned to go to Macao in the week of Oct 1st, you should expect somewhat packed there since our Mainland comrades will flood into Macao to enjoy their "Golden Week" holidays (Oct 1st is our National Day and Mainland China will have a whole week of public holidays). I guess Hong Kong will be fine this year comparing to previous years as Macao is the hottest place to visit now.

Sorry I must reiterate the weather condition as the Air Pollution Index in Hong Kong is ridiculously high these days. Hopefully there will be strong wind next week and blow away those pollutants. It will be a bit pity to travel along Pacific yet have a chance to see the spectacular night scenes.

I am all for the gathering, any other Hong Kongers here want to join? Pryuen, you must spare some time out of your busy schedule. Let's show some hospitality to the beloved Tinman.

I'm afraid I have to disappoint you guys.

I won't be available in Hong Kong as I will start my vacation starting September 27 and all the way up till October 8, I will be with my family somewhere in China, and for the rest of October, I'll probably be working in China.

Yao Ming joined the national team today in team practice and scrimmage after a busy week of the Yao & Nash Charity Gala and the commercial activities that followed.

It was the first time in the summer that he met Jonas Kazlauskas, the head coach of the national team, who had just returned from Lithuania and Madrid after doing some scouting in the Euro 2007.

In an interview with Wang Meng, Yao Ming said there is very little time to waste. He realized he has yet to get back into his competitive form and shape. He felt he is okay on the offensive side as he just got into his position in the low post, and his team mates will pass the ball to him there. But on defense, he felt he is 1 to 2 steps slower, and repeatedly got beaten by his team mates like Yi Jianlian and Zhang Songtao during the 3 X 3 and 4 X 4 team scrimmage.

He realized there is still alot of work to do on his conditioning, and he now felt the pressure about the 2008 Olympics as well as the new NBA season. He hopes he can make use of the future 2 weeks, plays in the 7 exhibition games with the Euroleague teams (from Italy and Russia)and the 2 Australian teams from September 24 all the way up to October 1, so as to get back into his competitive form and shape.

After attending the opening ceremony of the Special Olympic in Shanghai on October 2, he will return to Houston, which means he will be 2 to 3 days late for the preseason training camp at Austin.

He should grow that thing out 2-3 inches deep. That would make him an intimidating lookin' mug.

Well in a recent interview, Big Yao said he would like to grow his beard such that he can be more intimidating-looking on the court.

He had grown that beard for a while. But then Ye Li requested him to shave them off during their wedding. And he had to oblige.

Now he started to grow that beard back, as Ye Li has left China for Houston already.

Well talking about beard, I remembered back in 2004 Olympics, Big Yao vowed that if he could not lead the national team into Final 8, he would not shave for 6 months.

At that time, some genius fans photo-shopped 8 of Big Yao's look with his beard on.

So, which look you opt for Big Yao if he will grow his beard ?

    Option 1

Here's a question to the Chinese Rocket fans:

how long does it take to get from Hong Kong to Macau by ferry?
how far is the ferry station in Hong Kong from the airport?
does Yao visit Hong Kong or Macau?

What a pity. You should make time to meet tinman, Pryuen. It'd be a weird and also fun experience to meet someone who has called you all kinds of names on an internet message board before. :p

Ye Li would miss lots of classes because the school has started the classes for weeks. I guess.
