You sound young, crums17, so I will give you information to digest. One of my college era running buds and I were chatting on the telephone several months after the 2004 election had been decided. He doesn't care about politics and had no axe to grind. We were talking about his Vietnam experiences and the Swift Boat issue came up. It turns out he was attached to the administrative command over Kerry's unit. He told me the Swifties ... as you call them ... were accurate in their claims but really didn't provide all the dirty laundry they could have. At any rate, I trust his word more than most, especially a politician with an agenda. That's all I'm going to say on the matter.
Actually you are wrong on the counts except carrying a camera into NAM, which was common practice back then. Are you going to slander all the troops who served in Nam and brought their 8mm cameras with them? Are you going to slander all the troops in Iraq who brought their cam corders with them?
