(not including Rockets ;) )...who has raised your eyebrow the most, unexpectedly? I would say the Kings, so far...they really look scary and I didn't think they could string together all these wins lacking Webber. Apparently they have a better collection than I thought.

The Kings are a good choice, I'm surprised they are this good w/o Webber, but I did feel they had become the second best team in the West in the summer.

I'd almost say the Nets, even though most people considered the Kidd trade would turn out in their favor.

Other than that...maybe the T-Wolves? Don't know just how good they are yet, but I certainly didn't expect them to go undefeated for so long. WallyWorld seems to finally be giving them another option. We'll see if they are for real.

I know I'm leaving someone out....

Definitely the Nets and the Wolves. Off to faster starts then I thought. I figured they were both playoff teams, but they are off to blistering starts. They're a combined 17-5, and that is just ridiculous.

I'll agree with the teams that have been mentioned, but also, how about those Pistons? They're 7-3 now (only 2-2 against the West :)), but still have been playing very well, with their losses coming to good teams, such as their 5 point loss to the Sixers last night (whom are 0-5 without and 6-0 with Iverson). Stackhouse seems to be playing more of an all around game, getting more rebounds and assists. Cliff Robinson has helped out drastically in the scoring department. Dana Barros has been doing a decent job at point guard, getting a fair amount of assists. Ben Wallace is playing his normal game with a few points, 10+ rebounds and 3+ blocks. Then, they have some very key role players off the bench. Michael Curry plays solid defense while he's in, while Damon Jones seems to be playing very well for them. Everytime I look at their box score I see Jones with some points, a few rebounds, a few assists...Jon Barry has helped a lot off the bench as he did in Sacramento. Another big surprise has been Zeljko Rebraca. The guy has provided a lot of scoring off the bench at the center position. He doesn't seem to get many rebounds or anything, but the last two boxscores I've seen were 10 points in 20 minutes and 8 points in 11 minutes. Overall, the team has been playing solid team defense and winning games. I'm dissapointed that they continue to play that bum, scoreless Corliss over stud rookie Rodney White...can't wait to see what he'll be able to do in a couple of seasons.

The Pistons are playing great, but if you were paying attention, it isn't much of a surprise.

BTW, Corliss is playing quite well and Rodney White is quite clueless at this point. Corliss is getting something like 12 points in 17 mpg and shooting way over 50% from the floor. He's been great. Rodney, on the other hand, has looked completely and totally clueless every time he's stepped foot on the floor. That's ok though, he'll get better. And Rebraca is doing much more than just scoring. His rebounding has been pretty good (per minute played) and he's blocking shots and playing physical. He does get in foul trouble a lot and has some occassional lapses but he too will get much better as the year progresses.

The team is not a fluke.

Minnesota being so good is the surprise for me. Wally has really stepped it up and their use of zones has made them a formidable defensive team as well.

Did you just do what I think you did? Did you make up a quote and then quote it? That was funny!

    Here ya go Nugz,

I would defintely have to say the nuggets. without dice i thought theyd be 0-11 or 1-10 at best right now but they are playing well on both ends. nick van exel has been playing great. he should be on the all star team.
