I got part one but what formula would i use to figure out part two? any help?
    Heres My detail sheet http://www.hcad.org/records/details.asp?tab=&bld=1&card=1&taxyear=2007&acct=1150850000004

STEP 1 Based on your home address, print out the taxing entities you live in and their various property tax rates. This information can be found on the internet. If you live in Harris county, go to www.hcad.org If you live in Fort Bend, check www.fbcad.org You could also visit the Tax Assessor-Collector (in Harris County) or the Central Appraisal District (in Fort Bend County). Include a xerox copy of the property tax statement with your final report--feel free to white-out the appraised value of your property. NOTE: If you live in an apartment you MAY not be able to find this information. I can give you an alternative if you check with me.

Caution: In some cases your school district will not be included in your initial research. EVERYONE lives in a school district, so you may need to check further. In other cases, you will need to do additional research to find out tax rates. Tax rates are readily available on the internet.

STEP 2 Assume your house is valued at EXACTLY $100,000. Figure the various taxes you pay and total them up (make the further assumption that there are no tax exemptions).

    Pretty simple dude.

Take your appraised value ($3,964,957) and multiply it by the individual tax rates listed under "Exemptions and Jurisdictions" and then total them all up.

    $100,000 x 1.47570= $1,475.70
    $100,000 x 0.40239=$402.39
    $100,000 x 0.03241=$32.41
    $100,000 x 0.01302=$13.02
    $100,000 x 0.19216=$192.16
    $100,000 x 0.00629=$6.29
    $100,000 x 0.09518=$95.18
    $100,000 x 0.64500=$645.00

That is a total of $2,862.15

    Take Di's advice dude. lol
