I didn't read this thread other than the subject.

No way Trader_Texxx is real. If so he is the biggest dork I have ever heard of and I feel bad for him/them

Here you have a YOF who reads the communist manifesto, who has used terms like hillbillies and rednecks to label white Americans, starting a thread calling TG and Basso frauds and asking why they haven't been banned?

You don't see anything wrong with that picture?

When last was a thread of complaint started about one of the "libpigs?"

MacBeth? That wasn't even political... :D

No, the number being withdrawn approximates the number sent over for "the surge."

"The dollar, meanwhile, falls to a record low against the Euro, which is shortly going to be worth as much as a British pound."

That's what I posted, Fatty. I never said the Euro was, or ever has been, worth as much as the Pound. I said it will be, soon. The dollar is plummeting in value, while the Euro continues to go up. We almost went to Europe for 3 weeks in June, this past summer. One reason we didn't was the value of the dollar re the Euro. Everything is far more expensive. Had it been just my wife and I, we would have bitten the bullet and still made the trip, but with 2 teenagers, one of whom is a lousy traveler, 2 weeks on a tropical island was cheaper and more relaxing for the parental units.

(a bitter disappointment... I don't know anyone on my side of the family that doesn't love to travel, except for my 16 year old son. he loved New York City (who doesn't?), but spent most of 2 weeks in June on Isla Mujeres in the hotel room. we were right on Playa Norte, which is a topless beach. can you believe this kid? if he wasn't an honor student, and loved Seinfeld, the Daily Show, and Colbert, I'd be worried! ;) )

What? I'm a conservative and a veteran. Mind you, a real conservative, not a Bush guy. I'm assuming you were joking. Remember, rednecks aren't really conservative, they're the people we abuse to put our candidates in office.

Did I attack one of the mod's alter egos? If it was because I had two accounts, it's because I wanted to keep basketball and politics separate.

    Weird.

Anyway my crums17 account was cutoff for (I assume) this thread.

I wasn't saying they were wrong for having a different opinion, I was saying they were wrong for undermining conservative arguments on this board with what is clearly the statements of someone mocking the Republican party a la Colbert.

Whatever, I guess I'll just go back to trolling the Rockets section because this account, presumably will also be cut off.

I was pointing out an obvious problem, nothing more.

For the record I'm also white. Apparently that matters to you.

The Communist Manifesto relates in no way to China, as you would know if you weren't a rednec... sorry, if you weren't a hillbilly.

    Wow.
Maybe banning wasn't the right idea, I may have been carried away. However, what's your deal?

It can only be one of two things:

    1. You are one the posters I called out.

    2. You believe yourself to be a conservative and don't have a problem with their posts.

Option two makes you look really bad.

Okay, apparently your join date is equivalent to your integrity. That's a pretty lame thing to gain confidence from.

For what it's worth, I'd been reading the boards sporadically for years before joining. Military commitments kept me away a lot of the time.

Those two are clearly joking around. You really don't see it?

How long people have been here matters. One could argue that perhaps it shouldn't, but it does, and I don't have a problem with it. I haven't been posting nearly as long as a lot of the "old timers." I did lurk for a very long time before registering, however. I was lurking when this was ClutchCity.com. I remember the scoop on the Francis deal, and lots of other things. One of the reasons I held off posting was an irrational fear of being made road-kill by Behad and Mango. ;)

I can understand that it matters in that people are worried about their reputations. That's one of the things I like about reading this site.

I was commenting on the fact that you dismissed my observations outright because I joined officially in 2005.

BTW, I guess I was banned for telling one of them they don't deserve to live here in another thread. Whatever, I don't post that often anyway. I guess that probably was too extreme, but whatever, I made my bed.

No, I dismissed your observations because I disagreed with your position. I found you not being here as long as them ironic, and the basis for your banning call specious. If they were going to get banned, it should be for calling other members things like "traitors" and the like, not because they are fooling around having fun, which is what one does, in my opinion, while the other has another bizarre reason for his posts. Bizarre to me.

TJ is one of the best posters at goading other people into responding. He's like a professional angler with simple tools consisting of a can of worms and a hook. He's caught some whoppers in the form of comic gold, and I admit I've been baited along too. His tactics appear crude, but his hauls are a sight to behold.

New Yorker is definitely a knowledgeable cat. I think he gets bored a little too much. His style is more like a crank caller than an angler. I have no pity for his frustrated victims.

I think Basso is serious because of the effort he puts into reading his horribly slanted articles, but there is a twisted political balance in this forum with his topics.

It takes two to dance, and certainly their victims are not without blame....

I do know the more Texas Stoke posts the more amusing I find this forum.

I hope he keeps it up.

It cracks me up that I value New Yorker's and Deckard's views as two posters who will stand up to others even on their own fence better than most, yet they can't stand each other's style...
