But really, I guess I'd have to go with Boyz II Men. I didn't take much back then, but I feel totally gay when I listen to them now. But that ain't gonna stop me! B2M4L!!![/QUOTE] You missed it man. Boyz II Men performed on Jay Leno last night with Michael Buble. The crowd was about as loud as I have ever heard for a band performing on a talk show.
Yeah. Right. Journey, Prince and Duran Duran were "silly" bands back then. While RATT may look less appealing now, it wasn't a "silly" band then either. Most of y'all are trying to save too much face here. That alone is reason enough to turn in your man card. Be serious and honest people.
Wow! I felt bad for liking Duran Duran.... but..... wow! That's freaky - I can't imagine Bolo jamming out to a Wilson Philips song.
Ok, I don't know if this band qualifies as "silly", but they certainly were unknown: But to fit the topic, I'll have to go with Here's a true story...I was a big Tony Carey fan (leader of Planet P). He did a solo album, and came to Houston, playing at the old Cardi's rock club. Me and 4 buddies went to see him. We had been at the beach all day, and had partaken of a number of different "attitude adjusters". Anyway, we're at Cardi's, the place is about 1/3 full, and Tony Carey is onstage. The five of us are right up front. Between songs, we watch Carey run off stage to a guy who is waiting with a mirror in his hand. Carey does a line and runs back onstage. We all go nuts! TONY! TONY! Invite us backstage! He just smiled at us and went on playing. He probably could tell we were in no shape to be partying with him.
The image isn't showing for me, so I did a google search for the filename "yandt8.jpg" and the only result was this: Weird... So anyway, who was it? Yesterday & Today?
Damn that is young. When I was in High School, this was the Madonna album, although I couldn't stand it.
