Anybody know of reputable pool contractors in the Spring/Klein area that you've dealt with, or no someone who has dealt with them?

    I know one...

OK, I am one. But we do mainly high end work so whether or not we are the right company for you will depend on your needs and budget.

We have been around for 37 years and have a pretty stellar reputation.

old site so if you would like to look at more recent projects (meaning projects for the last 10 years) drop by or give me a call.

What price range do you generally deal with? We may be in the market for a new pool in the not so distant future.

Our average pool this year has been in the $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 range. But this has included quite a few projects between 250 and 450,000.00.

To get a pool with spa starts around $45,000.00 (realistically) and then depending on materials and design it moves from there. We are a fairly specialized company, but for some projects we are really the only ones around who can do a quality job in regards to engineering and hydraulic design.

I will be happy to advise anyone on here, regardless of the company they choose, in regards to design - features - materials, etc. I won't go so far as to suggest alternative companies; not out of maliciousness but simply because I don't really know who else out there is good at what they do. Anyone shopping for a pool is well aware there are a ton of options in regards to companies. The main difference with us is we won't build anything less than the best from a custom design for both the space and how the homeowner is going to use that space. This doesn't mean that it has to be expensive, but if price starts compromising quality we suggest going elsewhere.

    Cheers,
    Brock

    Brock,

There are many patents for pool products. I have an idea for a pool product that can be patented and make brazilians of dollars for me and the manufacturer of the product.

What do you suggest that I can do or who I can contact?

    Thanks,

    Heya Ling Ling,

I would first build a prototype and patent the design (or at least apply for the patent). Almost every market has new products like this every year and some work out and some don't. It is certainly worth the gamble though.

I would suggest talking to Mike Phillips at the SCP off of 242 across from the Woodlands (I believe they have a Conroe address). He would probably make time to talk to you and could give you excellent advice on how to go about finding a manufacturer if he was interested in the product. They are distributors of pool products nationwide and he runs quite a bit of the show here locally.

    Cheers,
    Brock
