How the check is this related to the cold war? A president asks his prime minister and cabinet members to resign...sounds like domestic affair to me.
I think we may be seeing the first outward step of Putin retaining the Russian presidency past the 'term limit'.
Ahh, no...at least not over this. Russian bases in the heart of the Middle East (i.e. Syria)? Yup, that's BIG.
i never trusted putin much. Not really sure what to make of this. Between killing reporters, flags under sea, FOAB (think of your own name for your bombs dude), helping iran build nuclear plants (although looks like that stalled), etc... I dont see them starting too much stuff, but they are definitely jockeying for future global power...do they feel the pressure of china? Perhaps all the political corruption was hindering govt progress...maybe a little more govt control but still be a free market econ, like china... all very interesting. have to chew on this a while

I'd say that is more radiological terrorism than nuclear terrorism. At least to the layman, nuclear terrorism would involve a nuclear bomb, not a radioactive element being used to poison someone.
Upon hearing more about the new guy, I have to assume that Putin is putting in a guy who will take direction from Putin while he is out of office until he can come back in again. Kind of like the Mexican puppet-presidency of the mid-20th century.
Guess he can come back in 4 years for two more terms. Then he can do it agin and twore more terms. Nice job mr Putin!
