I make friends easier with guys for some reason. I don't have any problems with women at work because I don't work with them except my boss(a woman) who we get along pretty well. I go lunch with most of guys..in our lunch group, there is only me and this other girl. Maybe it's because that there are more men at my office than women. I try to get along with everyone and keep my business to myself because office drama es estupido. Let me tell you, MEN DO GOSSIP! I couldn't believe it when I first started working here. They all gossip!!!
I work in a warehouse with 63 employees. 62 of them male. and this is very true. Men will talk **** about other men nonstop.
Given the forum, I get the feeling we're not getting a representational cross-section of women in American society. I'm not sure we'll be seeing any female posters saying they get along with women more than men at this site.
I was thinking the same thing. It's not that I don't get along with females I work with, its that they don't get along with each other. Which in itself wouldn't bother me, its when they drag me into it that I get annoyed and frustrated.

I think the ugliness/hotness ratio also plays a part in office politics. Every workplace needs to have the proper ratio of hot chicks to ugly chicks. All hot chicks or all ugly chicks are OK, and an equal amount of hot and ugly chicks is OK. However, you can't have a bunch of one and only a few of the other. If you have a bunch of hot chicks and just a few ugly chicks, the hot chicks will make the ugly chicks feel inferior. If you have a bunch of ugly chicks and only a few hot chicks, the ugly chicks will badmouth the hot chicks out of jealousy.
I run a few coffee shops in downtown and employ 14 girls and 3 guys. The babysitting that goes into managing the chicks is unbelievable. I just recently got tired of all the back room politics and had to let a few of them go.
My roommate's gf has always had the same thought. She's been in the workforce for 10+ years, and she hates working with other women.. I haven't noticed it too much, but I also don't pay too much attention to the interactions between females at the office..
I work with women in an office setting and I even had to notify my boss who is a male last week that he has to get me away from them. I used to like going to work now there are so many other things going on at work besides work its horrible. It’s like they take turns on who is going to be lunch pals and b**** about someone else on a monthly basis. In my mind I’m thinking didn't she just say she hated her? They constantly are looking to see who has it better than they do and make a huge deal of it to anyone that will listen. I listen to my radio all day long just so I can ignore the constant b****ing. They can't stand it when they say something to me and later I will say "what?" Then I get to hear "oh just forget it if you didn't hear me the first time!" I told one of them today that her husband always chooses to go out and eat instead of stay home for a cooked meal because he can get himself and her sauced to be able to put up with her. She quickly said it was probably true. Don't get me wrong some guys are b****ez too. But women can create a zoo like setting at work and some of them you can almost tell that this is what they are used to. Well I’m now b****ing and I don't want to go any further. Lets me just end it with I'm currently looking for another job.
Guys can be just as bad. I used to work in a group of 11 all male. There was like 3 clicks in this small group if you can believe it. This was for a major company with decent pay and the turnover here was horrible all based on the politics of the place. I saw a guy get fired over basically a set up by the manager at the time who is now gone and the guy that helped him set up the other guy is now gone. It felt like being back in highschool working at this place.
