Saw this on TexansTalk. Ouch. I'm guessing he's done for the year.

That Boulware trade is certainly looking like genius right now.

Definitely...Our new GM is already looking a million times better. So much for name recognition and experience over talent.

Simmons gets hurt every year. This sounds strange but he plays with too much fearlessness and reckless abandon.

I don't remember the play when he got hurt. What happened?

Who wants to bet we take a safety with our first pick this year.

You can get a top notch safety at 32.Those guys always go pretty late.

And once Boulware learns our system he'll be nails with what we already have on that side of the ball.
In fact once Fred B. is starting opposite of Robinson at the other corner,we'll be even scarier.

Von Hutchins played pretty well today in replacement of Jason Simmons. He is the one that put that big hit on Jeff Webb and caused the interception Dunta Robinson got.

We'll need a running back first. Boulware may work out to where he can start, plus Simmons will be back eventually. But itd be nice to draft a quality back, have him learn under Green for another year and then be ready to go in 2009.

In the NFL, you don't normally use a first round pick on a RB unless you plan on playing him significantly at some poiunt during that first year... if Green shows he has enough in the tank by the end of this season, I wouldn't want to use that pick on a RB (unless its a dominant/can't go wrong back... which in that case, why would you keep Green?).

Offensive line and safety will be guaranteed to be much bigger needs by the end of this season.

Green will be starter here for another 2-3 years at least.

I suspect Kubiak won't spend first day pick on a RB unless he's super convinced.

I want a ball hawking free safety in a Texans uniform next year.

I'd say 2 years at the most. If Chris Taylor comes back healthy next year, I'd look for him to start getting time and taking over in 2009...assuming one isn't drafted.

This is possible, but I think he needs a backup capable of splitting time to extend his production. I'm not a big first round RB guy, but I could see the Texans picking one with the 3rd rd pick or an early 4th rd pick in 2008.
