I went to see this with some coworkers last night and it was actually better than I expected. It is pretty much what you think it is, a nonstop bang bang splatter splatter with little storyline. But HOLY **** were most of the action sequences awesome. Clive Owen is bad ass. It's worth a viewing.
thx for the heads up. going to see it this evening with a friend. can't believe it's only and hour and twenty minutes. won't go to edwards on wesleyan to see it for that short of a movie (3 bucks to park and 9 for the ticket). clive owen has always been a fav. how was monica in the movie?
just got back from seeing it. whoa! so badass. it's like a mixture of "grindhouse" and "the transporter" as far as unbelievableness (not a word) is concerned, but it's supposed to be far fetched. actually far fetched is putting it extremely lightly. clive owen as always is great and sexy as heck. same goes for monica (lil pun... monica belucci is the reason why milk prices have gone up). the one-liners after every kill were golden. not as golden as the actual way that the bad guys got killed though. two thumbs up. wish clive wouldn't have turned down the 007 role (he did... didn't he?), though craig did great. he would have added to the grittiness of the movie.
It was dumb as hell, as I expected. But it was so ridiculous that my friends and I were laughing so much we ended up having a good time.
did you see it here in houston? where you one of the three guys who were laughing though out at edwards (bit the bullet and paid parking)?
I love Clive Owen as an actor but I have trouble seeing him as an action star bad ass. Is this anything like the movie Crank? If it is I think Im gonna skip out.
No I don't think so, it more like Desperado on speed and it doesn't take itself seriously. Good fun and it just flys by, only 80 mins long. If you like any of those old John Woo movie, not the US stuff, you'll like this movie, hell I think most of the plot is lifted from Hard boiled, think it was that movie
I'll probably see it on DVD when it comes out. I just can't get into a movie at the theater if there are only 5 or 6 people there...
