Kobe could do it again but his supporting cast isn't bad when they are healthy. Before injuries the team was winning while Kobe was averaging 26-27 ppg. Arenas is a chucker who cares a lot about stats so he might do it. Carmelo won't do it because he plays with Iverson and Lebron has shown more and more that he is a natural pass first player. I expect 25, 7 and 8 for Lebron. Some possible players are Kobe, Arenas, Carter, Joe Johnson and Michael Redd.
I can only think of one case when Kareem Abdul Jabbar was the NBA scoring champion and the Lakers won the NBA title in 1971-1972. Otherwise, balanced scoring and defense typically wins the day.
Michael Jordan was the scoring champion every year the Bulls won, Shaq won the scoring title and the championship in 2000 and Kareem did it in 1971.
No doubt! The Lakers didn't do jack this offseason to improve their team or, let alone, help Kobe out. The Lakers are going to struggle and I don't see him being in LA after the upcoming season.
