has anyone else seen this new commercial? I swear the past few football commercials nike has put out have been great. This one is a combined montage of Shawn Merriman and Stephen Jackson set to the soundtrack from Last of the Mohicans

Why is Merriman getting a free pass after being busted for HGH/Roids?

I'd be happy if that smarmy prick never laced em up again.

And Stephen Jackson stretching out for the touchdown reminds me of taking a dump for some reason.... little brown ball coming out of a large white mass.. i guess..

Very well done commercial, thought I'd add a video to be played along side the Nike one. Btw, both are SFW. Speakers are required because they make the videos what they are, IMO.

    Last of the Mohicans

    Nike Football Leave Nothing
    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/55BZ2gSsSmY"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/55BZ2gSsSmY" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

On a side note, if someone comes across a HD version of the Nike commercial, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Put that song from Last of the Mohicans in the background of anything remotely sad and it will make you cry...

Didn't Merriman get fined and suspended last season though?

He didn't just get a free pass.

And I'm sure they're watching his every move....

It is kind of odd though, the double standards in sports...

I don't see what the big deal is regarding steroids and Merriman. This isn't baseball. He still has the natural instinct a linebacker has.

I'm probably gonna get flamed but w/e.

I agree, I dont mind that he is in the commercial...he is a beast...and his performance never changed even after he came back.

He was punished, did his time, so why complain or wonder why he is in a commercial...just enjoy the great commercial and not worry about what player-players they have in it.

Someone worked they butt off to be creative enough to come up with that awsome idea....dont worry about what puppets they used to do it.

hitting a baseball might be the hardest thing to do in sports, I'd wager its a lot harder than tackling

I bet I'd have a better shot at hitting a Nolan Ryan fastball than I would tackling Earl Campbell at full speed. :)
