Whatever! I must be the only one who feels that way. I guess your V-Span wound will never heal. He wasn't the answer either and was also wrong for this team (or actually wrong for the NBA). And now, this thread is officially hijacked into another V-Span debate.
Isn't Rafer working out with the team again? He must have figured out that there's a strong chance now that he's staying cause with all this off-season antics the dude is basically untradeable. I'd still do that Brian Scalabine for Rafer Alston trade though. Celtics desparately need veteran point guard help for backup.
My thoughts exactly. This is the most amazing part since we watched the trade deadline pass with no moves made. Sure, we had round #1 of the Juwan-for-Mike James teaser but nothing other than that. You mean to tell me that we really couldn't have acquired a guy like Chucky Atkins for 1/2 season rental? Hanging onto him in Memphis made absolutely no sense at all.
If people are willing to do a Rafer for Bowen trade, the below suggestion will get laughed at. And truly, it probably isn't fair value to the other team, but you never know. Houston Trades: Rafer, Snyder, JLIII, 2008 1st round pick Clippers Trade: Corey Maggette Why the Clippers would do this? Because their a Sam Cassel injury away from having Guillermo Diaz or Jared Jordan as their starting PG. They get a slasher in Kirk who is cheap and 2 PGs, and an extra draft pick. Rockets clear up the glut at PG and trade Kirk for an improved version of Kirk.
Charlie Bell is not coming back to the Milwaukee Bucks. They need back-up guard. Let's see Morey work his magic with Rafer to the Bucks.
Get it done!! Love what Bell brings, and he's a solid citizen by all accounts. tough to get mins at the swings in our rotation -however he's a guy that could easily displace Snyder/Head with the skills he has.
