    pryuen, thanks for the article/recap.

I really like Scola's game and I think are going to be surprised how well he fits here. But beyond that I love the way this guy talks/thinks. Passion, desire, determination, humor and humility.

I think Yao and T-Mac are really going to feed off this guy.

what the hell? I've listen to the interview twice and Scola didn't say he would reply on the board, he just laughed about it, that's all.

The Chinese reporter evidentally doesn't understand English very well.

It happens a lot whenever they try to translae any English articles, too... or even what's posted on clutchfans. They misunderstand a lot of things.

Yeah, they told him about the thread on clutchfans and jokingly suggested he should post something.

Scola seems like he has all the tools for making that power forward spot a strength....the key sopt that was holding us back the last 5 years.

By the way, I saw a group photo and noticed that Battier is a couple inches taller than Tmac. Both Battier and Tmac are listed as 6'8".... is Battier taller than his listed height.....also Tmac was only an inch or two taller than Bonzi....so wondering if Bonzi is taller than his 6'5 because I know that Tmac is taller than Kobe (who's listed at 6'7") and the same height as Lebron and slightly taller than Carmelo, both of whom are listed at 6'8". Yao was said to be 7'6" without shoes (he grew an inch after his predraft measurement)

Well Landry grew an extra 2 inches since his draft. Go figure. I guess he measured 6'7" at Purdue when he got there. They never measured him again and then he measured out at 6'8" barefoot in the NBA. So in shoes the dude is 6'9"

sat right next to scola last night at pappa's steakhouse... recognized him right away, but wasn't positive it was him. the nba t-shirt he was wearing kinda gave it away, though :D my father spoke to him briefly, seemed like a nice gentleman.

definitely tall, but seemed a little skinnier than i had imagined. granted, i haven't really seen much of him... i guess i just expected him to have a little more meat. still, it got me pumped for this season.

most people are surprised with nba players physique in general in the sense that theyre actually a lot skinnier than it seems on tv. for example, shaq has never looked fat in person.
