I don't hate the new logo but it hasn't really grown on me either. I don't know, maybe after a few rings I'll feel differently about it.
Didnt somebody enter the "pajama" logo in a Rocket contest and won....i wonder if he posts here and how he/she feels about it now
I guess there never a rocket going through a basketball hoop for obvious reasons However, they could have Modified the Old Logo to have a Rocket doing an orbit around a Basketball Planet. That would have been cool.
I think the contest design winner's original design looked better the what fashion designers produced from the original concept, iirc.

I was very much around and coherent during the Championship years...and while the logo/unis do hold sentimental value, they are quite dated...the old logo was a basketball...pretty boring and what does that have to do w/ a rocket? The yellow is pretty hideous though the red is something I definitely missed during the pajama years. The new logo, while not perfect, has a nice "motion" to it symbolic of a rocket. The jet trails should be amended somehow in the future, and I've always felt it could use some sort of shading or something to give it depth, but other than it's a nice clean look. My only complaint with the unis is that they take off the logo on the shorts and make the lettering and numbers bigger. Think about how that logo with those uniforms would look into today's NBA....it would stand out and not in a good way.
Yeah, I don't hate it but it isn't the REAL logo. I will never love it as much as the champ one. It was dumb to change it. The Rockets look could have been timeless like the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks and Bulls but they screwed it up.
That's not bad but the colors are hideous and the rocket ship cuts the logo in half stripping it of any continuity. Still think a Rocketship going around a basketball planet should be our logo with a contrail encircling the globe.
They almost had that design logo right...it's just too busy and the Rockets overlay over the basketball obscures everything else. Plus they could have made a cooler spaceship. Who else thinks the sharkface on the nose of the spaceship looks dorky? I think the Rockets lettering needs to stand by itself or get rid of it all together. Pacers logo stands by itself and hasn't changed significantly since the inception of the ballclub.
Nice. Very dated, that a patch or a logo? Though I do like the color scheme. I just couldnt bring myself to vote for a darn one of em. As much as I support the Rockets the logos have left me underwhelmed. I'd vote the yellow ball logo cuz I used to like drawing it but thats it.
It wasn't the logo that was so terrible as it was the uniforms and the fact that we had just won two straight championships in the old colors and basically jinxed ourselves out of another championship. You don't mess with what works!!
Last time I checked, they didn't hire a player to design the logo. Last time I checked,we are talking about logo in this thread, not jerseys.
