God, I was running to the bank this morning, heard the golf hour and thought, "Why, God, WHY??" It's just brutal. I actually flipped over to Davies and Dukes and listened to them argue over whether or not the Saints were "America's Team" last year, which was idiotic and nonsensical. When I could hear 1560 through the static, it was just some talk about some hot girl who had been in the studio and Collen Cowherd was talking about Ryan Secrest. WTF???
what is espn's deal with collin cowheard. that guy was in the booth for some college football game. is he really that popular. I can't freakin stand him
Still can't pick up 1560 in the mornings, until I get inside the loop. Is that the way it's going to be from now on?
I think they said they were going to have a 50k watt signal. anyway, grenato maybe funny, and a good morning host, but he is unlistenable by himself.
I like to play golf, even though I never have any time to do it. I also like reading the golf page in the Chronicle sports section on Wednesdays. I do not like watching it on TV, except for the Major tournaments, and I would probably recoil having to listen to an hour of golf talk on the radio.
the next time that guy admits he was wrong about something will be the first. he was in studio in houston once with pallilo, he's an avid vy hater. he was saying how tommie frazier was the most dominant qb he saw in college (fair opinion) and said something about his winning pct. I called in and said that young and lienart had two of the highest winning pcts in college and frazier wasn't top ten and he said I didn't understand what he was saying. the guy is a straight up jerk.
granato blows.... i could probably count on one hand how many minutes he's spent actually discussing sports in his entire career. no clue why so many here (in houston) seem to love him. charlie pallilo is awesome, and i enjoy matt and rich.... but that's about it.
Is it just me or does granato sound like homer simpson when he sings? The Golf hour should be on at 4 a.m and Home improvement shows should air anywhere but in a sports station. It's a copy cat world, so you see every program director follow a similar plan
