The Barbosa example shows that the Spurs aren't infallible...but like he said, they've done so well that they can afford to make a mistake or two or to pass up on an opportunity.

The Spurs drafted Barbosa FOR the Suns, its not like he ever was going to play in San Antonio.

The Scola example shows that the Spurs aren't infallible... ;)

This is turning into a Scola Fan Forum site. Do you guys generally start so many threads for 1 player?

When the player who many feel addresses the biggest problem that the Rockets had last year does well..then yes there will be many threads!

Scola is in the spotlight right now because of the Vegas tournament. Things will get more interesting as training camp approaches.

Where's Ryan Bowen playing these days? How about a Rafer-for-Bowen trade? He's certainly a better teammate and a better person and that piece of **** has turned out to be.

i think Israel? I'm not sure Rafer would fit in there.

I do think people are being too harsh on Rafer. Last year he was our starting PG and now people want to just outright give him away. He was solid last year on the defensive end covering for Yao Ming on the pick and roll and he also did a good job of forcing turnovers. People shouldn't blame rafer for shooting bad, because he had to take those 3pters in JVG's offense.

I think if given the chance Rafer could thrive in Adelman's offense because he's a pass first PG and he's the only PG besides Aaron Brooks that can run a good fast break. Plus he's the only point guard on the team that I would trust in the fourth quarter to not make boneheaded plays and execute. Steve Francis is too much of a turnover risk and Mike James is too much of a SG to run a decent play.

So lets all just give Rafer a fresh chance in the Adelman system.

You should've seen the manlove for Vassilis Spanoulis and Steve Novak. I remember a thread for Novak, Novocaine or something like that.

I doubt Morey likes his FG% either.
