I would LOVE that trade! The Rockets would lock up a top 5 seed with that trade!

    Lets do more likely trades.

Lets pretend we want to win now and cook up some scenario that involves Griffin.

Hottoddie, is there any package of players, involving Griffin that we could offer to Denver for Raef Lafrentz?

Or how about Mike Miller over in Orlando?

I would do that deal in a heart beat.
However, Portland would have to be out of their minds to do this deal.

griffin for lafrentz, hmm NO raef is good but eddie has the makings of a superstar and no way i want the mentally fragile rasheed wallace on this team-not when eg will be as good or better more than likely and not the headcase either

Bay Rock, I'd seriosuly consider it. I"d probably do it, just for the fact that I want to win NOW! and not in 3-5 years.

The Rasheed deal I'd defintiely do! Kenny could switch over to small foward and Rice could come in off the bench. A front line consisting of Willis, Rasheed, and Thomas could do some serious damage in the playoffs!

I bet Rudy listens to offers for Griffin once some other teams realize they're a long shot to make the playoffs with the squad they have.

You would trade a 19 year old future superstar for a center even Nuggets fans can't stand? Sure glad you guys aren't in management.

P.S. Why would anyone want Rasheed Wallace on this team? With the amount of close games we play, why do we need someone who is a great risk to leave the game at any time?

DO NOT TRADE GRIFFIN!!! the guy has tremendous upside and the rockets would screw their future over.

What is up with you guys? I had never seen a BBS so excited as the week after we got EG... and now you guys think the Rockets would seriously consider trading him? The only way that'll happen is if Duncan, Shaq, or KG is involved... (hint: it won't)

you guys are crazy, we did not DRAFT GRIFFIN TO TRADE HIM, we are young and hes our CENTER of the future. Look im sorry but lafrentz likely wont be that hard to pry from denver, hes a restricted fa after the yr anyway and has worn out his welcome and unless i receive a duncan, kg type player for griffin, picks he wouldnt leave- rasheed is good, but like i said eg will be that and more, without the attitude/technicals

Also we will be the 5th-6th seed out west as it stands this yr imho, so why sacrifice an excellent future center for a win now option, which likely will leave us good but not great in the coming years-now if denver really wants lafrentz gone and they want a center with potential and feel hes able to learn, than try cato for lafrentz, but griffin no way

I'd throw Griffins name out there for the simple fact that i'm impatient and I want to win and seriously compete at present. If I was the coach I'd defintiley throw Griffins name out there and see what other teams are willing to offer.

Rasheed has been on very good behavior this season. He's off to a little bit of a slow start, but he had best game of the season with 27 last night. Only 2 T's this season after 10 games due to being a loudmouth, which is a far cry from last season. He's on about 1/3 the 'T' pace...

The way you guys are reacting is the way i'd hope for a bunch of fantasizing futurists Gms to react. See, I just know they'd overeact and give Francis and Mobley that third intregal running mate so sorely needed here in Houston at present.

lets not make this a Griffin debate though, lets do some trades.

    Griffin for Ratliff?

    Griffin for Odom?

I give you credit, Hottoddie. I used to post these trade scenarios but quit because the Senior Trolls would always come along and bash the idea. But you're still trying. I guess if it's hypothetical, then that's cool.

Honestly, I would love to trade for a stronger post presence (Charles Oakley? Brian Grant?) but wonder what would happen next year when Mo returns. Where will EG eventually play: 3, 4, or 5? Although he'll play backup this year, what about next season? I guess with Rudy as coach it's all about funky-ass matchups.

Why not just trade Walt and Collier for Oakley (whose contract expires after this year)? Well, besides the obvious reason: Oakley is a cantankerous canker sore of a human being, and Rudy loves KT, etc. etc.

One of the T's I saw was for hanging on the rim and was seriously not deserved. I think he gets most of his technicals off reputation alone.

Don't trade Eddie, with his potential, I don't see us getting fair value.

And Charles Oakley hasn't been a tough low post presence for about three-four years now.

I like the original trade. The one for Davis. He would be a great addition to this team. Then we could just put Cato on the shelf and have a Willis/ Davis combo. No action for Cato. I like this. He still sucks. Show us Cato, don't tell us.
