What's truly ironic is that in your little temper tantrum here, you've really are living up to that great quote by Shakespeare. Sad that you entirely missed the metaphorical meaning, but the irony can't be lost nor not appreciated.

You're a class act Otto. At least you're now showing your contempt instead of trying to hide it under a thinly vieled veneer of civil debate. I appreciate your dropping the facade.

Please explain this metaphorical meaning and the irony, oh wise sage. Since the original quote is about the meaninglessness of life and has absolutely nothing to do with anything that is in any way applicable here, I think it is just another stop on the endless procession of your empty bluster. But if I am wrong I would like to bask in the glow from the reflected light of your apparently immense wisdom.

Well, it doesn't apply here, which is exactly why it's ironic that you use it to describe my posts. I don't think you actually care for what I understand that quote to mean and will dismiss out of sheer contempt for me, but I never took it to mean that "Life" is meaningless but rather that the life story of an invidual is just a string of unconnected events that don't have any overarching meaning or moral lesson to take out of it.

But as you said, it's just empty bluster and smugness on my part, because we all know how you can never be wrong and how respectful you are of other's ideas.

I thought you might want to review the definition and compare it with the way you use it.

Oh, you mean in reference to your blithering rambling attack with lots of sound and fury? You don't see the irony in the way you spazed out there and then threw in that particular quote?

Here's another example of ironic. It's Ironic that you would accuse someone of many things that you yourself blatently exhibit. For example, you can accuse me of having a condescending tone, and yet you will arrogantly link the definition of irony as a not-so-subtle attempt to assert some sort of intellectual superiority.

dynasty warriors is based on ancient china. based on history. actually, if you think about, everything in japan is a branch off china. they branched off from tang dynasty china. if you look at their castles and such, that's what china used to look like. of course, japanese culture is mainly based on tang dynasty china anyways. so in a way, you can say, pretty much everything came out of china :p :D
