Props to the texans. They looked good today. Was a great 1st half for a preaseason game. I kinda doubt the texans d is as good as they looked today, but Shaub looks like the real deal. The Dallas doubters were right on the money, for this game at least. The oline didn't get much push, romo was shaky, and the special teams sucked ass.
The thing with the Texans is that they have been drafting SOOOO high for soooooo long that once they start winning it will be an avalanche and they will get really good, really fast. If they get a leader out of Schaub (and he looks great so far) they could turn the corner in a hurry. Once all those high picks get a taste of what it takes to win in the NFL, they will be like sharks to a wounded seal. DD
I hope David Anderson makes the team if we carry 6 receivers. He looks like a pretty good special teams guy, and if he can make some catches, that'd be nice bonus.
Can agree to the NFC being weaker than the AFC but not to that extent. The Texans themselves would be a horrible example of what you stated...they lost to all the NFC teams they played last year (Eagles, Giants, err the Cowboys...all playoff teams) and would make the answer to that be - Yes it is better. But that was last year, today is what counts
We looked good. I was very pleased with the Texans tonight. We still have McCardell as well who can be an very nice addition. This team looks like they have a shot at the Playoffs. Am I being a homer, yeah, but it's been a long time since I could get excited about this team. Go Texans (and we own the Cowboys, lol)
http://cowboys.beloblog.com/ Talk all the trash you want, Texans fans Let me welcome the fine folks of Houston to this here blog. I strongly encourage you to talk a whole bunch of trash. I mean, golly, why shouldn't you go wild over a preseason win? Houston native Aaron Glenn claimed he didn't even know the Governor's Cup existed, but I'm pretty sure he was trying to hide his hurt feelings. DeSoto's Patrick Crayton claimed the Texans approached this like it was a playoff game, but he acknowledged that the Texans earned bragging rights. Crayton also pleaded with the commish to make Dallas-Houston an annual regular-season rivalry. "Mr. Goodell, please set that up," Crayton said. I'm about to leave the Reliant Stadium press box and must admit I fear for my safety. Rowdy Texans fans might be rioting in the parking lot.
