Very good point. If Harry was like the guys I knew at that age... he would have gotten "lonely" and started acting really interested in Hermione, like he really cared about her and wanted to know her better. Hermione, who was always kind of attracted to him, would fall for it all too easily. By the time Ron came back, she would completely blow him off. Of course, once Ginny shows up again, Harry will go for that... when Hermione demands an explanation, he would say, "But you and I are just friends... really, really close friends." Hermione is p!ssed off and joins up with the Death Eaters at the end just to get a chance to kick Harry's a$$. (but since that didn't happen... was it because Harry was obsessed with waiting for Ron to come back? Wondering where he was? Maybe Harry plays for the other Quidditch team? )
Actually instead of joining the death eaters she would just blow Neville. I mean, come on, he killed the snake. He deserves it.
so i just finished reading it. I bought the book the day it came out but never bothered picking it up to read until last night. And I must say it did not disappoint. It was a very entertaining read all throughout and a lot darker than the other books have been, but that was to be expected. but on a side note not sure if its been mentioned before: Spoiler so its pretty obvious that ron, hermoine and harry are all away from hogwarts for what should have been their 7th year. so like shouldnt they have to go back to school for that final year or did everyone just granted them a big pardon? oh and snape figured he was always with AD but never thought harry's mom would be the reason

For a moment I actually thought that something was about to happen with the two. After Ron had left there was one time when Hermione ran her fingers through Harry's hair, or something to that effect. No dice, though...
