Just start a preview of this movie didnt even realize it was coming out. Any word on if is going to be good or not? link An infamous assassin, named Rogue, sets off a crime war between rival Asian mobs. An FBI agent is determined to bring down the killer after his partner is murdered.
It's kind of a dream teamup of action stars, IMO. As long as they stick to their status quo, it will be good.
I really like Stathams fighting style, he has a little more street fightin in his style. While Jet Li is a little more finessed. Should make for a fun movie.
spineless coward? how the hell does Jet Li deserve that? who said he was retiring? the man said that fearless would be his final 'martial arts epic' and that he would still do regular action movies, which are different. anyway, this movie looks terrible. i don't know if decent action sequences and choreography will be able to carry it. Jet's english really isn't cutting it; he should stick to chinese-language films, his chinese flicks are so much better.
you can't really come up with a more bad-ass pair of guys(current) to pit up against each other or with each other in a movie. that said, the previews look terrible and i haven't seen promotion AT ALL for this thing. that's not promising. if the reviews come out at least ok i'll probably check it out.
Jet Li said it himself. He even made a point of emphasizing it during the interview on the extra features of the Fearless DVD ... that this was his last movie, no more. I guess integrity isn't one of the central values of wushu.
when that movie came out i remember him specifically saying it was just his last chinese kung fu movie, not the end of his acting career. in the fearless dvd he says this was his actual last move, period? either way, what's the big deal? you can't retire and come back?
its been covered many times in other media. it was his last "wushu" film, meaning his last pure martial arts movie.
"Is Fearless really your last martial arts film? Jet Li: Yes, it is my last Wushu film in China Why? Jet Li: Because Wushu in Chinese films, a lot of action films, means war, fighting, physical contact. Use violence against violence to beat up each other, just focus on that. Nobody talks of stop. Martial arts have two parts. One is external, other internal. The external is physical part. The internal is philosophy of how to be, what kind of person learns martial arts. This story is good. I believe what the real master did one hundred years ago, his philosophy. I have learned martial arts for thirty-two years. My belief and philosophy are in this movie. After this, nothing to talk about" http://www.movieweb.com/news/89/14689.php
