Aaron Brooks Initials Usage

Friends, Ladies, Gentleman and Rockets Fans....

I long worried about the day that this would happen. Our lazy typing cohorts love to call a player by their initials. In this case and this case only, AB will not work on this site. Call Brooks AB amongst your friends if you want to, but on this site... AB has always been... and will always be, ...Another Brother.

I just noticed the problem today over in the 'How Is Aaron Brooks Doing at TEAM USA scrimmages?' thread. Posters kept saying AB, AB and I was thinking, Another Brother, Another Brother. I was confused and I know I'm not the only one.

Rookies who don't know of about Another Brother, you're forgiven, no worries, no blame, but please refrain from calling Aaron Brooks, "AB", anymore. For veterans who know who Another Brother is and misused AB anyway, shame on you and your family and their ancestors and their ancestor's ancestors.

For those of ya'll that don't know, Another Brother is a comedian and a solid one at that. If you don't know, see the show. ...Aaron Brooks may be quick with the ball, but he can't hold a candle to the real AB on a mic. Thank you for your cooperation. You are what makes this site so fantastic. Just don't forget to pay your respects to Another Brother and his incredible posting. AB=Another Brother 4Life ..and I'm out.

I agree..AB is another brother, SF is small forward, I know it is so hard to type out Francis or Brooks

I maintain we should call Aaron D.W. as in Dark Wing (Duck)

Of course there may only be two of us that use it... but I like it!

It should be SF3 not SF. SF-Small Forward. Brooks can be AB0?

Then you better tell that to McGrady, Francis, James, and Lucas since they were calling him AB at Tracy's charity softball tournament a couple of weeks ago.

I like how SamFisher joked/complained about the SF shorthand being used for Steve Francis and everyone agreed with him, immediately chiming in with, "Yeah! SF = Small Forward, damn it!" lol

Oh man, that SamFisher. No one respects him. Good times.

PLease stop using YM for Yao Ming--it could be insulting to Yettis Martingertz

AB sounds just about right for Brooks- I have never called Another Brother 'AB'
