It's his responsibility period and as a Man he should want to give the Kid his life. It is his fault if he picked the old lady and got her pregnant. As men we must make better choices and this is truly a bad choice if he cannot trust her to do what is necessary for the child

I am disappointed, however, not surprised by the news.

TMac claimed himself as the team leader and put everything (during playoff) on his shoulder but failed.

TMac disguised as a Mr. Nice and Mr. Good Husband, however, secretly having an affair with a woman

I am worried about Rockets to have such a self-claimed "leader" on the team.

Please........it happens all of the time especially with professional athletes. I mean if Shawn Kemp can father all of those kids with so many women, you know they throw themselves at Tracy.

I don't care how many women he has sex with, however, TMac is a mentally softy. He is not like Kobe who can score 40+ after attending court trial. Remember what happened to him two seasons ago (around all-star games)? This season could be worse for him. The better news is that 35 years old woman didn't sue him for rape

He already had a daughter w/ CleRenda before this child. So you only have to be faithful if you're married?

On the one hand , " a moment of indiscretion can lead to a lifetime of regrets..."

on the other hand, " who , in the moment of ecstacy, would think of the consequences..." ;)

50/50 .. that is what takes to make a kid
everyone has their CHOICES - Why is ONe CHOICE more right
    i.e abortion/leaving kids on firehousesteps/etc .. er. . WOMEN's choices
    than others

They all leave kids in the lurch
No man should pay more into a household . .that is not his. . . than anyone living there
unless that person is an employee

Being born does not guarantee you all the money/etc of your folx
    it is a privilige . . not a right

But its "Tracy's" Kid! You would think that he would want to completely take care of "his" kid to the very best of "his" abilities. Thats what a father is supposed to do,Thats what a man is supposed to do. If it means taking care of "his" kid's mother as well than fine...

until they get that ring and marriage license, my commitment isn't even 50% guaranteed. that's why marriage is a big deal and is not something you do for fun. it's a huge commitment. when you go out with a girl for 5+ years (in your 20's, not some middle/high school crap) and don't get married you're telling her you aren't totally committed yet.

he wasn't anyone's husband. he was a boyfriend.

So having a kid isn't a commitment? I would hate to be that kid. I hope I never have a relationship with someone like you.

I'm not going to judge T-Mac. We all make mistakes and have our problems. I hope everything works out for T-Mac and that it doesn't become a big distraction come basketball season... though it would seem hard not to be. The most important thing is the welfare of the child.

    Is it Vida?

Dumb mistake, T-Mac, you simply have to pay up for being stupid enough to get 'trapped'...

    T
The "Gold Diggers Association" advocacy group will never allow for that. It's no secret that many, many women use kids as a way to get paid. Lots of guys are dumb enough to walk into it, though, so it does take two and I have little sympathy for those dumb enough to walk into it.

I just attended a co-ed baby shower (omG don't even get me started on that...) Right when I meet the other guys, 1st-2nd topic that they bring up-
"You see they settled in on Matt Leinart paying $15,000 a month over to his kids mom for child support?" (<- I live in Southern Cal)
"What, woooow? Holy geez 15,000 a MONTH...maaan thats a LOT!"

I didnt tell them thats around HALF what McGrady's figures to pay over since he makes way more than Leinart.

No hijacking here, just supporting the point, so
Unlike McGrady, Leinart demonstrates interest in the kid. He also indicates he wants more time, and helps financially. But that doesnt matter, cuz of his "Hollywood lifestyle" complicates matters.....okay this is MATT LEINART. Tribes in Africa know what Matt Leinart is about - she didnt know this being in the backyard of Hollywood in USC?! She wants his Hollywood-inflated child support money but hates him living a Hollywood life? She's complaining about doing the heavy lifting, while the professional athlete father who SPENDS HIS TIME ON THE ROAD on an NFL team cant play the part of at-home daddy? (She herself plays b-ball at USC so I can see where she wouldnt consider that an exception, still....didnt she care about her OWN playing career and education at USC?)

She has full rights to question the amount and has full lawful right to say she wants the expected support % within the existing system, can't knock that really. Point is....We all know Leinart's a bum in this, We all know Mcgrady is as well. But the more they play I'ma poor mom out in the cold trying to do the right thing the more it can actually expose the gold digging (how did she arrive at $30K a month?) and her own lack of substance. Just go on what it is actually is at its best case scenario - a single mother business negotiation, secure yourself, think of the kids needs a little, and call it what it is..

but i wouldn't have a kid out of wedlock (and i'm not religious either, i just don't want the baby mama drama), nor would i date a woman for 5+ years.

    mcgrady wasn't breaking any contracts.

If you can't be faithful unless you're married, I wouldn't want someone like you. McGrady wasn't breaking any legal contracts, but cheating is still wrong, married or not.
